Research On Improving The Competitiveness Of Gz Port

Port,as the gathering point and hub of land and water transportation,is an important transportation infrastructure,a strategic resource and important support for social and economic development,and an important window for realizing export-oriented economy.More than 90% of foreign trade goods are transported through ports every year.At present,China has a large number of ports,including 87 coastal ports alone.There are more than 5,500 berths in coastal ports,and more than 2,000 berths of 10,000-ton class or above.With the continuous development of global economy and trade,the competition among ports is becoming increasingly fierce.There are not only the competition among major international hub ports,but also the competition among domestic counterparts,and the competition trend is white-hot.Port is the "barometer" of national economic development.A city prospers by port,port serves as the city,and port prospers by port.The competitiveness of ports not only has a huge impact on the competitiveness of the city and region in which they are located,but also has a certain impact on the comprehensive competitiveness of the whole country.Party’s eighteen big report for the first time put forward the concept of "construction of Marine power","area" strategy is put forward for the first time in 2013,officially issued by the central 2019 outline of the traffic power construction,these strategies put forward higher request to the development of port,largely promote the development of the port,but also to some extent deepened the competition between ports,completes the port competitiveness research and the promotion strategy is also becoming more and more important.GZ port cargo throughput in 2020 ranked the world’s fourth,container throughput ranking the world’s fifth,as a world port,GZ port is China’s "strategic fulcrum area all the way",a large bay area of Guangdong’s main hub port,the geographical position is superior,the foreign economic and busy,its competitive strength will directly influence the development of China’s foreign economic.Therefore,conduct research and analysis on the development status of GZ Port,find out its shortcomings and competitive advantages,clarify the main factors affecting the port’s competitiveness,give targeted improvement opinions and suggestions,and promote the further development of GZ Port and enhance the comprehensive competition of the port.The level of strength is of great significance.The main content of this paper is how to objectively evaluate the competitiveness of GZ Port in the context of fierce competition and put forward corresponding strategies to improve its competitiveness according to its competitive advantages and disadvantages.In this paper,based on the analysis of the domestic and foreign scholars and experts on the basis of the principle of quantitative analysis,the author puts forward the establishment of port competitiveness evaluation model based on the wife right and TOPSIS method.The weight of index is determined by using the method of lineal weight to increase the accuracy of quantitative index weighting.Taking ten major ports such as Shanghai Port as an example,this paper constructs the evaluation model of port competitiveness based on the differences between the two methods,compares the horizontal and vertical evaluation of each index,and puts forward suggestions for the improvement of port competitiveness of GZ Port.Mainly include: competitiveness evaluation,main competitors,competitive advantages,the main opportunities and threats,strategic positioning,competitiveness promotion strategies.
