Influence Of Space Interface On Public Space Cognition

Cognition is a process in which people understand the objective world,acquire knowledge and apply knowledge.It is an individual’s ability to process information through perception,which includes both the process of cognition and the result of cognition.Spatial cognition is a process in which people acquire and process spatial information.Spatial cognition is not only related to the cognitive mode and cognitive ability of the cognitive subject,but also related to the information provided by the cognitive environment.Public space is an indispensable part of architecture and city,which has the function of connecting functional space.Public space is also an indispensable place in public life,which can be open to all social groups or part of organizational groups and accommodate a variety of public activities,playing the role of extending personal life and promoting the establishment of network connections among people in the city.The quality of public space has a direct impact on the quality of public life.Paying attention to users’ cognition of public space is a research way to map the real appearance of public life and feedback the design quality of public space,which can provide architects with more perspectives close to users.The cognition of public space has experienced from focus on space itself to focus on the user’s perception and experience of the actual space transformation,this has to do with study the process of cognitive development has the same place,in the field of cognitive science and cognitive criticize the elimination of the brain as a cognitive subject consciousness and the psychological cognitive style with subjective color,It is believed to cause a disconnect between cognitive processes and daily life.More and more attention is paid to how people perceive in real life.The dynamic view of body cognition provides a new cognitive perspective,that is,cognition is the adaptive activity of living body in real-time environment.Therefore,the cognitive mode of public space in this paper is based on body perception and action,and due to personal cognitive differences,it cannot be completely rational and objective.However,as a cognitive environment,public space itself is invisible,and the cognition of public space needs to use the material entity elements that form public space--space interface to act as the medium to provide cognitive information.The spatial interface is not only related to the space,but also to the body.It is also a way for the architect to express the space and communicate with the user.The spatial interface can guide the perception and action of the body,and these guides can form different spatial cognition for the users,which can also become the interface reference method for architects to design different properties of public space.Therefore,this paper focuses on the cognitive impact of spatial interface on public space(based on body perception and action).The first chapter of this paper describes the background,purpose and meaning of research,research content and object,research status,method and framework.The second chapter summarizes the philosophy of science as a cognitive approach to the body of the ideological theory,and sums up the body involved in the cognitive form(ontology cognition,body perception system,the body feels-loop system,body unconscious cognition),and the architecture field theoretical ideas about the body,the body and the architectural space and architecture.The third chapter discusses the body cognition of public space.Firstly,it summarizes the connotation of public space,the types and interface modes of public space.The second is the way the body recognizes the public space(sensory cognition:visual,tactile,orientation cognition;Finally,it analyzes the main factors that affect the body cognition in public space(users and spatial interface),and leads to the spatial interface which is further discussed in Chapter 4.The fourth chapter is the core of this article section,interface is analyzed in the public space is the influence of body image,from the visual cognitive interface,touch the cognitive interface,bearing the cognitive interface,cause body awareness-action of the four aspects of interface,summarizes various interface affect the way the technique of spatial cognition and graphic are analyzed.The fifth chapter is a case study.Through the analysis of the representative public space,the theories summarized in the fourth chapter are verified and disverified,so as to combine theory with practice.The sixth chapter is the summary of the whole paper and summarizes the previous research content.
