A Study On The Revival And Protection Of Traditional Villages In Nansong Village Of Changzhi City In Shanxi Province

Villages are a legacy of harmonious coexistence between human beings and the nature in the agricultural age,which have inherited a long cultural history.With the rapid development of modernization and urbanization,traditional villages are gradually declining and are about to decay.So it is particularly important to explore how to restore and protect traditional villages.As a traditional Chinese village with a long history,diverse traditional architectural forms,and staggered historical streets,the Southern Song Village is of great research value and protection significance.At present,due to the lack of suitable guidance and technical support,some predicaments are existing for example : the overall style and appearance are messy in the process of rejuvenation and protection.,Traditional houses are seriously damaged and lack of public facilities.This research takes Nan Song Village as the research object,takes revival and protection as the breakthrough point,and sorts out the traditional village revival,protection and related theoretical research results through literature analysis,field investigation,and empirical research.And then excellent cases in China and abroad are selected for analysis and summarizing previous successful experiences and methods.By combining with the analysis of the current dilemma existing in location selection and layout of the village,historical streets,traditional houses etc.,the design direction and influencing factors of the rejuvenation and protection are clarified.The research summed up the principles of revival and protection based on “overall protection,distinct levels”,“continuation of tradition,reasonable renewal”,and“people-oriented,economical application”.Also,the revival and protection strategy of “waking up the village’s own vitality,renewing the village’s material environment,and shaping the village’s brand image”are formed.Under the guidance of the principles and strategies obtained,a plan for the rejuvenation and protection of the Southern song Village was developed with“overall protection”as the premise,“renewal and repair”as the focus,and“excavation of the charm of the local customs”as an opportunity,which as well as demonstrates the rationality and rationality of the theoretical results.Practical.It shows that through the model of combining rejuvenation and protection,traditional villages can be promoted to achieve revival and protection,and realize “keeping up with the times”,thereby their decay will be slowed down or prevented.Although the traditional village rejuvenation and protection strategies,design concepts and plans proposed by this research have limitations,they can still provide theoretical support for the proposal design of traditional village revival and protection in the same area.
