In Asia,Singapore has always been regarded as a pioneer in environmentally sustainable development and provides inspiration for other Asian cities.After experiencing independent design,drawing on overseas design and foreign designers to dominate the market,and later returning to the stage where local designers and overseas designers coexist,Singapore has emerged a group of architects and design teams with international standards.SCDA Architects is a Singapore-based local design firm with extremely high international design standards.The firm has won two international awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects(RIBA)and won the Singapore President’s Design Award.,Known as the design striker.His design work,from high-end apartments to resort hotels,to Singapore National Design Center,has been widely praised for its humanistic care.This article takes SCDA’s practical work as the research object,and focuses on the analysis of the design language and design methods of the inductive firm.First,it analyzes the formation background of SCDA’s design concept from the aspects of Singapore’s regional background,cultural characteristics and architectural background,and the introduction of the character background of SCDA’s chief designer Soo K Chan,and then specifically explains the firm’s humanism and spatial plasticity design Concept,and briefly introduce the two major characteristics of SCDA’s "new tropical architecture" design style;based on the design concept,SCDA’s large number of architectural practice works are analyzed,and the design methods of the firm are summarized and summarized respectively.Design language and multi-field exploration design;explore the globalization of SCDA firm and the reasons behind it,and then analyze the various practice projects carried out by SCDA firm in China on the application of firm design methods,and design concept of SCDA firm,Design techniques,design language,and summary and reflection on the analysis of practical works,and excavate content that is beneficial to the domestic architectural environment,in order to provide useful reference and inspiration for the development of Chinese architectural design.
