With the improvement of rural residents’living standard, building energy consumption in rural areas is increasing day by day.As the area of the rapid development of urbanization, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has been one of the leading enterprises in the national building energy efficiency work. Many energy codes, regulations and stimulating measures have been developed to promote the ultra-low energy building. Therefore, the selection of rural residence in this area as the research object covers a wide range, which is of great reference value to relevant studies and of great significance to promoting clean heating and energy saving in this area.In this paper, the regional scope, climate conditions, building characteristics, economic and technological conditions are analyzed and studied comprehensively. Many energy saving standards are referenced to set the ultra-low energy consumption goal of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei rural residence—75%energy saving than the existing rural residence.Under this goal, the“U”type represented form of rural residence is selected. And benchmark model is established by energy consumption simulation software“De ST”.Secondly, software“Climate Consultant”is used to analyze the climate adaptability of buildings in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The building design strategies based on the climatic conditions in this region are obtained. On this basis, quantitative simulation is performed through“De ST”.Cost performance and energy conservation, the limits of each factor in the design of ultra-low energy rural residence in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region are determined. The best orientation angle of rural residence should be 10degrees east of south. The optimum heat transfer coefficient of external wall is 0.36W/(m~2·K),and the optimum heat transfer coefficient of roof is 0.40W/(m~2·K).The south window wall ratio should be increased appropriately, and dark curtains are recommended to shade residences in summer. As for attached sunspace, double glass plastic-steel window is recommended. In summer, bamboo curtains are used to keep out the sun,at the same time, ventilation measures should be considered. When the sunspace is only used as a heat collecting and storing component, the depth of 600mm is appropriate;when the sunspace is both functional, the depth of 1200mm~1500mm should be selected. What’s more, the kinds and utilization of renewable energy in this area are analyzed and summarized. The suitable renewable energy utilization technologies are put forward, mainly including solar energy and biomass energy. And renewable energy utilization technologies are analyzed in the integration. Finally,on the base of the research results, the design practice of ultra-low energy rural residence is carried out.The result of energy consumption simulation shows that the energy saving rate of this ultra-low energy rural residence can reach 61%compared with the existing residence.Through calculation,it can be known that 75%of the target of ultra-low energy consumption can be achieved through solar floor radiant heating system.By contrast, the renewable energy replacement rate of annual heating and cooling energy consumption of the rural residence with photovoltaic-air source heat pump coupling heating system is 100%,far exceeding the ultra-low energy consumption target of 75%.
