Research And Practice Of Temple Garden Plant Configuration In Nanjing

The plant landscape is an important part of the modern garden landscape space,and also a constituent element of the temple garden landscape space.Temple garden plant landscape has unique aesthetic qualities and profound religious culture and traditional garden art connotation in the organization of garden space and plant configuration.This article takes the plant configuration as the main research object in the landscape design of temple gardens and temples in Nanjing,and selects the important landscape nodes and courtyard spaces in the eight representative temples in Nanjing area as the investigation and research objects.Methods: Summarize the plant species composition,quantitative characteristics,species diversity,seasonal phase,planting combination and other information,and establish a common plant configuration data table for temples.Summarize the elements of temple plant configuration in Nanjing and the general laws and methods of gardening.The last part of the article takes the plant configuration design in Lishui City God Temple as an example to explain how to combine the plant configuration method obtained from the investigation with the existing landscape conditions to create a modern temple landscape space with local characteristics in Nanjing.It focuses on the analysis of plant ontology language and plant spiritual connotation,and finally forms the design of the landscape plant configuration within the Chenghuang Temple in Lishui District,Nanjing.
