The Research On The Space Environment Vitality Of Historic Streets In Beijing Old City

With the rapid development of China’s cities,the vitality of the old city has been lost,and the structural and functional decline of historic streets has become increasingly serious.Local governments have gradually strengthened the renewal and protection of the old streets of the city,and prompted the streets that have continued for a hundred years to regain their lives.Based on the study of the historical street vitality concept,this paper constructs a historical street vitality evaluation system,and based on this theory,studies the classic cases and summarizes the principles and methods.This paper selects Guozijian Street in Dongcheng District,and divides the research stage into three stages of 2013,2017 and 2019 according to the period of large-scale renewal of Beijing Old City.By querying historical data and field research and analysis methods,from the street overview It analyzes the development history,the vital elements of the street,and the vitality of the street,and summarizes the vitality of the Guozijian street.By analyzing the problems created by vitality,the principles and improvement strategies of historical street vitality creation are proposed.Finally,combined with the theoretical basis,the reform and design of Guozijian Street will be carried out to realize the practice of exploring the vitality of historic streets.The research enriches and perfects the historical street vitality theory system,and provides a theoretical reference for the future street reconstruction design.
