Under the background of separation of employment and residence, the suburban railway, which is positioned to serve medium and long distance commuter trip, has become the most suitable commuter rail transportation mode for the development of metropolitan area.Due to a late start, the suburban railway still lacks the station spacing optimization method matching with passenger flow distribution, and the artificial separation between the research of station planning and train operation will also hinder the generation of the systematic optimal solution.Combining the optimization strategy of train stopping under multi-route,the research on the optimization of station spacing that matches the commuter passenger flow in suburbs has important practical significance for giving full play to the speed advantages of suburban trains and meeting the needs of rapid inter-regional contact. From the aspects of passenger flow demand and operation supply, the main influencing factors of suburban station spacing are analyzed to provides the necessary theoretical basis for quantitative modeling analysis.Based on the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of commuter passenger flow, such as high centripetal and low interchangeability along the route,it is pointed out that running regular train with all-stop mode on suburban lines no longer has the advantages of cost saving and service level.Combined with the analysis of suburban railway operation and supply,it is pointed out that "stopping distance" of different operation plans is the key to the train running speed, and will ultimately affect the optimization result of station spacing. This paper analyzes the internal relationship between train stop schemes and station spacing in the traditional hierarchical optimization process, verifies the difference between passenger travel time and enterprise operating cost under different stop schemes through specific examples, and clarifies the necessity of considering train operation decision in advance in the stage of station spacing planning. In order to find the optimal station layout scheme, taking the minimum comprehensive transportation cost under the joint influence of planning and operational decision as the optimization goal,an optimization model of suburban station spacing considering train operation scheme is constructed to achieve the best matching of commuter passenger flow demand, and HGA algorithm is designed to solve it.The feasibility and effectiveness of the model and algorithm are tested by the case study of C line in S city. The results show that the optimal station location matches the demand distribution: in suburban areas with high degree of land development and great commuting demand, the station spacing is small, while the distance between stations in outer suburbs is generally large, which meets the actual layout requirements of stations.By comparing the various costs of the actual scheme,it is verified that the optimization result has achieved a comprehensive cost saving of 10.3%;when the train operation mode is fixed to long-routing express/local train and all-stop operation, the cost advantage of this scheme is 8.4% and 9.6%,respectively.Finally,the sensitivity experiment is designed, and the following conclusions are obtained: when the train runs at the same maximum speed, the low-density station layout scheme often has higher relative cost benefit, which is conducive to giving full play to the advantages of fast commuting of suburban trains;the continuous increase of passenger flow intensity and the train use cost will limit the generation of the optimal number of train types, but this optimization method always keeps its cost advantage over the conventional scheme. There are 47 figures,11 tables and 68 references.
