Studies On The Measurement Of Chinese Automobile Industry Clusters And The Horizontal Influence Of Core Cities

In the process of the continuous development of the automobile industry and the continuous progress of industrial technology,the whole vehicle industry and the spare parts industry keep gathering due to the external economies of scale,consequently forming industry clusters and core cities.The horizontal influence of the industry generated by economies of scale will promote the development of the regional parts industry and improve the supporting service capacity of the vehicle industry.A high degree of agglomeration will reduce production cost and logistics transportation cost,driving the development and progress of automobile service industry and raw material industry in the upstream and downstream industries related to the automobile industry.It is of practical significance to the transformation and upgrading and secondary empowerment of China’s automobile industry,which in-depth research on the horizontal influence of automobile industry agglomeration areas and core cities,and provide theoretical reference for the government to formulate regional industrial development policies and enterprise layout.Therefore,this article first sorts out the existing literature on industrial agglomeration and industrial influence,defines the concepts of automobile industry,industry cluster and industrial horizontal influence,selects the key segment industries of China’s automobile industry,vehicle industry and parts industry as the research objects,and the horizontal influence of the automobile industry is defined as the pulling level of the vehicle industry and the contribution level of the component industry of the regional automobile industry.From the perspective of industry macro,the thesis constructs an improved EG index measure model by literature review method,based on collecting China’s automobile industry in 2000-2019 provincial panel data,evolution measurement researches and quantitative comparative analyzes the industrial agglomeration of vehicle industry and parts industry in China,by using the regional location entropy index,the improved EG index and the industrial concentration index at the regional level,and evaluates the regional industrial agglomeration and development status to determine the agglomeration areas and core cities.Then from the enterprise microscopic perspective,based on the vehicle and parts enterprises in the industrial chain of form a complete set of relations,the thesis builds the vehicle and parts enterprises supporting matrix,establishes the vehicle industry pull index model and the component industry pull index model of the core city of the automobile industry cluster to form the horizontal influence index model of the automobile industry,conducts a quantitative and qualitative analysis on the horizontal influence level of core cities to make it more representative and accurate by the supporting data of enterprises.As a result of comprehensively analyzing the industrial agglomeration of vehicle industry and parts industry of China’s automobile industry segmentation industry and the horizontal influence level of core cities in the automobile industry clusters,the thesis finds that China’s automobile industry has some problems about industrial agglomeration and horizontal influence,for instance the poor industrial agglomeration external scale benefits,the non-corresponding agglomeration degree and horizontal influence,relatively inadequate research and development level and technical level,the development of automobile industry in various regions is greatly affected by the industrial environment,and so on.So as to promote successful transformation and upgrading at the critical stage and facilitate the development of the automobile industry of all regions to achieve a qualitative leap,it puts forward effective and executable countermeasures and suggestions for deepening China’s automobile industrial agglomeration degree and improving the horizontal influence level,like forming a positive automobile industrial development and learning and communication environment,playing a role of vehicle core enterprise leadership,enhancing the position of key components in the industry,raising the scale and specialization of industry cluster,completing industrial sustainable development mechanism.etc.
