Research On The Development Of Automobile Industry In Jilin Province

The automobile industry is the pillar industry of the world’s major industrial countries and an important symbol to measure a country’s comprehensive strength and degree of development.Automobile industry involves many industries and the complex industrial division of labor,which determines the cluster effect of automobile industry development.At present,China has six automobile industry clusters,including: Yangtze River Delta automobile industry cluster,Pearl River Delta automobile industry cluster,central automobile industry cluster,southwest automobile industry cluster,Beijing and Tianjin automobile industry cluster and northeast automobile industry cluster.The automobile industry of Jilin Province that represented by FAW is the core of northeast automobile industry cluster and also an important part of driving the economic development of Jilin Province.With the rise of new energy vehicles and intelligent network technology,the automobile industry is facing a great change.How to seize the opportunity and enhance the competitiveness of the automobile industry in Jilin Province in this change is an important research topic.Marxist historical materialism emphasizes that social development has its inherent objective laws.Predicting and planning the future must be based on historical experience and reality.Based on Marx industrial development theory,combined with the theory of comparative advantage,industrial cluster theory,and the use of literature analysis,case analysis,comparative analysis,the text makes comprehensive analysis for the development of Jilin Province automobile industry.From the horizontal comparison of major automobile production areas,the overall level of automobile industry development in Jilin Province is in the forefront of the country,but the automobile industry in Jilin Province accounts for more than 50% of the total industrial output value of Jilin Province;From the vertical comparison of industrial development in Jilin Province from 2011 to 2019,2017 is the turning point of industrial development in Jilin Province.Before2017,all indicators of industrial development in Jilin Province were in positive growth.After 2017,industrial development in Jilin Province showed a downward trend and signs of acceleration.The development of automobile industry is consistent with the general trend of industrial development,but slightly better than other industries.The sound development of Jilin auto industry is inseparable from the leading role of FAW.Through the comparison of the evaluation model of the world-class automobile enterprises,it is found that FAW’s enterprise management ability and sustainable development ability reach the world-class level,but there is still a certain gap between FAW and the world-class automobile enterprises in innovation ability,international competitiveness and brand power.In terms of automobile industry chain,there is a significant gap between Jilin Province and major provinces in the Yangtze River Delta region,which is mainly reflected in the small number and scale of local private enterprises,and the auto parts are mainly injection and stamping parts,with low added value of products.According to the characteristics of the automobile industry,and based on Porter’s "Diamond model" and the representative research results of Chinese scholars,this paper considers that the cost of industrial development factors,industrial support and consumer demand,enterprise strategy and management ability,government policy and development opportunities are the four factors that affect the development of the automobile industry in Jilin Province.From the point of view of factor cost,Jilin province’s overall income level is low,with "low-cost advantage".From the perspective of industrial support and consumer demand,jilin Province has neither the advantage of consumer market nor the advantage of industrial chain compared with the automobile industry clusters in Yangtze River Delta and central China,and belongs to the development mode of "two ends outside".However,the automobile industry of Jilin Province has comparative advantages in the northern automobile market.From the perspective of corporate strategy and management ability,FAW takes the lead in digital transformation,brand building,high-end independent product development and other aspects of other enterprises.From the perspective of development opportunities,with the continuous expansion of the production and marketing scale of new energy vehicles,the correction of the imbalance pattern of the development of the existing north-south new energy vehicle industry will contribute to the development of new energy vehicle industry in Jilin Province.Based on the above analysis and advanced experience in the development of automobile industry at home and abroad,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of automobile industry in Jilin Province from the three dimensions of industrial development target positioning,leading enterprises and industrial chain development.First,we should focus on the target direction of the development of the automobile industry in Jilin Province to enhance the competitiveness of the automobile industry.Positioning the core of the northern automotive industry cluster,targeting targeted policies of major competitors;Grasp the trend of industrial development,increase investment in new energy vehicles and intelligent Internet technology;We will target weak links in the industrial chain and speed up breakthroughs in key technologies.Second,focus on leading enterprises to help fa W become a world-class enterprise.Accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises,digital enabling FAW value creation;Promote the new mode of cooperation between central government and enterprises,and boost the construction of automobile culture city;Accelerate the construction of fa W’s own brand and enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise;We will face up to the technological shortcomings of enterprises and take multiple measures to speed up their technological upgrading.Third,focus on the short board of automobile industry chain structure to enhance the competitiveness of automobile industry chain.Establish auto industry fund to boost auto parts enterprises to become bigger and stronger;Build a cooperation platform for automobile enterprises and innovate a new mode of joint venture;Promote market-oriented reform of energy prices to reduce production costs of enterprises;We will improve the living security system and reduce labor costs for enterprises.
