Natural ventilation of buildings has the functions of improving indoor thermal comfort,improving indoor air quality and saving building energy consumption,which is in line with the development concept of green and healthy buildings in the new era.The wind resources in hot summer and warm winter zone are rich,and the local buildings pay nuch attention to natural ventilation.Studying the natural ventilation potential and design strategy of office buildings in this zone is of great significance for the health,comfort and energy-saving design of office buildings.Natural ventilation potential(NVP)is an effective means to assist and optimize the natural ventilation design of buildings.There are many researches at home and abroad,and many NVP evaluation indexes and calculation methods have been put forward with the strategies of natural ventilation design of different buildings in different areas given.The existing research focuses on climate factors and neglects architectural design factors,and most NVP research is mainly studied from the perspective of one-sided natural ventilation performance.Meanwhile,the related research areas in China mainly focus on the climate zones Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ.In view of the actual background and the lack of existing research,this study considers the natural ventilation performance of health,comfort and energy conservation,and proposes two new building NVP evaluation indexes.Based on the parametric design platform Grasshopper and the building performance simulation tool kit Ladybug&Honeybee,with Energyplus and its Airflow Network module called,the natural ventilation design of two kinds of typical office buildings in hot summer and warm winter zone is optimized by parametric simulation,to explore the architectural design factor oriented NVP and natural ventilation design optimization strategy.The simulation results show that the architectural design methods to promote the use of natural ventilation climate conditions for ordinary office buildings are 70°south by East to due East of the building orientation,a smaller building density and a larger glazing ratio.And the methods for large office buildings are 70°to 80°south by East or 10°to 20°south by West of the building orientation,a larger glazing ratio,a smaller number of floors,a short side to long side ratio of 0.7 for the atrium and a smaller area ratio of atrium to office area.This study puts forward two kinds of NVP evaluation indexes and verifies its rationality and value with simulation results,which will provide reference for the subsequent research of NVP oriented by architectural design factors.And the research results of natural ventilation optimization design of office buildings in hot summer and warm winter zone will provide reference for architects.By comparing the calculation results of the new and old NVP indexes,it can be seen that the evaluation index of building NVP proposed in this paper is reasonable to a certain extent,and the previous climate NVP evaluation index has the limitation of applicable conditions.
