Research On Public Space Design Of Pension Institutions From The Perspective Of Positive Psychology

With the deepening of the aging degree,the supply side contradiction of China’s pension service system has become increasingly prominent.As an important mode of providing for the aged,the social demand for it will further increase.Public space is the core space used frequently in elderly care institutions.In addition to meeting the basic life behaviors such as transportation and eating,it is also the spiritual and cultural activity place for the elderly.Its design directly affects the physical and mental feelings of the elderly.At present,China’s pension service is developing rapidly,but it is still in its infancy.The theoretical research on pension institutions is not systematic.At the same time,the lack of attention to the positive psychology of the elderly leads to the serious "facility" of pension space.Positive psychology,as a science of individual positive strength and virtue,is committed to making people’s life more happy.Under the background of increasing aging in the world,it is necessary to popularize positive psychology in the study of elderly groups.Therefore,from the theoretical perspective of "positive psychology",this paper integrates the theory of positive psychology into the design of pension space,so as to increase the positive emotional experience,subjective well-being and self-esteem of the elderly,and strive to build the positive personality of the elderly.This paper is divided into five chapters.First of all,the first chapter and the second chapter of this paper,starting from the positive psychology and the personality characteristics of the elderly,expounds the theoretical background and main ideas of positive psychology as a whole,discusses the ways to construct the positive personality of the elderly,and introduces the theory of positive psychology into the pension space and makes a preliminary analysis.Then,the third chapter deeply studies the physical,psychological,behavioral characteristics and needs of the elderly,and makes a questionnaire survey and Analysis on the needs of the elderly about activities and space.The fourth chapter from the perspective of positive psychology to investigate and study the actual cases of pension institutions,summarizes the related problems of public space,and then studies the public space of pension institutions in foreign developed countries represented by Japan,summarizes its design characteristics and makes reference.Finally,the fifth chapter is the design principles and design methods.On the basis of the previous analysis,it puts forward four design principles,makes a detailed study on the functional elements,function and layout,space environment design of public space,and summarizes the design methods of public space of elderly institutions from the perspective of positive psychology.The research results of this paper hope to improve the theory and design of elderly care institutions,and provide reference for improving the quality of life of elderly people in institutions.
