Lingnan Taoist Temple Garden is a long-standing characteristic cultural space in Lingnan,and an important place for worship and living environment for the people of Lingnan.Lingnan.Lingnan Taoist Temple Garden has a rich heritage and has a wide range of influence in the Lingnan region and even Southeast Asia.Carrying out research on the aesthetic culture of Lingnan Taoist Temple gardens is of great significance for strengthening the protection and development of Lingnan Taoist Temple gardens heritage.Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple has a long history,unique natural landscape,profound cultural background,and strong Lingnan regional characteristics.It is a typical representative of urban Taoist Temple gardens in Lingnan.It has accumulated its own unique aesthetic cultural connotation in the continuous development and evolution.Based on the research needs of the“Lingnan Taoist Garden Spatial Evolution Mechanism” project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the basis of the investigation of the Guangzhou Taoist Temple Gardens,this paper uses the research perspective of the combination of landscape architecture history and aesthetics of landscape,and takes the Landscape of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple Garden as the research object,discuss the formation background and historical evolution of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple Garden,reveal the logical composition of aesthetic culture of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden landscape,build a research framework according to " the process of aesthetic psychological activity " of aesthetics of landscape architecture,and explore the religious connotation,secular characteristics and enlightenment function of the landscape of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden,in order to enrich the theoretical research on the aesthetic culture of Lingnan Taoist Temple gardens,deepen the theoretical category of aesthetics of landscape garden research,and promote the protection and development of Lingnan Taoist Temple garden heritage.First of all,it gives an overall overview of the natural geographical environment,social and cultural background and historical development and evolution of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden.Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden has unique volcanic rock landforms,superior climatic conditions,and rich natural vegetation.The great natural geographical environment provides unique conditions for the foundation of Chunyang Taoist Temple garden.Developed commodity economy,dispark Taoist thoughts and utilitarian folk beliefs provide a suitable social and cultural atmosphere for the formation and development of Chunyang Taoist Temple garden.On the basis of sorting out historical documents and materials,combined with field research,the historical development and evolution of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden is summarized into four stages: "Ancient Pines and Strange Rocks,Famous Schools for Lectures","Qingxiu Dojo,Elegant Collection of Literati",and "Guanguan Destroyed,monks scattered everywhere","Taoist resorts,Lingnan gardens".Secondly,using field research and image analysis methods,from the three aspects of environmental utilization,space creation,and space processing,it is concluded that the landscape of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden is “natural inaction,human celestial dwelling”,“pot in the world,other caves”,The religious connotation of "existence or absence,trance,trance",and an in-depth analysis of the ways and means of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden to reflect its religious connotations.Thirdly,combining field research and inductive analysis methods,through analyzing the three levels of belief in immortals,architectural decoration,and garden landscaping,it clarifies that the landscape of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden "multiple immortals coexistence,humanistic pragmatism","exquisite and beautiful,pioneering and innovative" "Seeking pleasure and leisure,eclectic" secular characteristics,and further analyze the specific performance of each,as well as the regional cultural characteristics behind it.Finally,based on the analysis of the religious activities and garden tour activities of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden,the author summarized the enlightenment function of Guangzhou Chunyang Taoist Temple garden landscape.Its educational function is manifested as the material space carrier of the landscape garden.It is realized through the excellent environment and outstanding talents,the Taoist atmosphere of promoting the Taoism and the new virtues,and the gathering of historical and humanities,to achieve the educational effect of encouraging knowledge,becoming a demeanor,and cultivating sentiment.
