Technology Level Of China’s Construction Industry:From The Perspective Of Time And Industry

As the mainstay industry of China’s national economy,China’s construction industry(CCI)promotes the vigorous development of China’s economy.Nevertheless,the development of CCI mainly relies on the investment of labor and capital.The labor and capital intensive development model hinders the further development of CCI and cannot guarantee the utilization rate of social resources and labor.With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,technology has increasingly become an important means of industry competition.The technological innovation of the construction industry has a driving effect on enhancing the competitiveness of the industry and promoting the high-quality development of the industry.In recent years,CCI pays more and more attention to scientific and technological innovation in which the investment has gradually increased.In order to research the scientific and technological level of CCI,this paper firstly discusses the research status of scientific and technological level evaluation from domestic and foreign perspectives.Then a comprehensive,multi-dimensional and comprehensive evaluation system has been constructed,which evaluates the technological level of CCI from the perspectives of the input of scientific and technological innovation,the output of scientific and technological achievements,and the economic benefits of science and technology.Based on this system,this paper not only analyzes the longitudinal evaluation in time series,but also includes the horizontal comparison of other industries.After that,this paper uses the cross-sectional data from 2009 to 2018 to longitudinally analyze the technological development of CCI,and horizontally analyze the differences in the technology level of CCI,manufacturing,and agricultural.The results of the vertical and horizontal analysis show that CCI has steadily improved its technological level from 2009 to 2018,but there is still a certain gap compared with the manufacturing industry.After comprehensively analyzing the shortcomings and redundancies in the process of scientific and technological innovation in CCI,corresponding suggestions are put forward for the development of scientific and technological innovation in CCI from the three dimensions of the government,the market and the enterprise.
