With the advancement of urban construction and economic globalization,national policies and guidance have encouraged the accelerated development of northern port cities,and urban spatial forms have also evolved.Tracing its roots,it has become the focus of research to study the evolution of urban spatial morphology from the development of northern port cities in modern times.Quantitative analysis of the evolutionary characteristics of the spatial morphology of northern port cities is carried out through spatial syntax software.This paper selects the time period from 1895 to 1945,and selects three representative northern port cities Dalian,Dandong,and Qingdao as the research objects,using spatial syntax quantitative analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods,taking the evolution of urban planning as Clues,discover the characteristics of the evolution of urban planning in the spatial morphology of northern port cities,and based on the relevant theories of urban spatial morphology,in a new way,the urban development direction,spatial structure,road network form,and the overall relationship between surrounding roads,etc.Analyze,interpret the formation and evolution of northern port cities,and elaborate on the influence of western modern planning ideology,design techniques,and legal mechanisms on the evolution of northern port cities’ spatial morphology.The purpose of this paper is to carry out a quantitative study on the characteristics of the spatial evolution of northern port cities,so as to make the northern port cities have a more comprehensive understanding of their own history and characteristics,and provide reference and reference for future urban development,and also help to expand Chinese cities.The vision of planning and construction history research.
