Study On Settlement Public Space Along Yichang Black Tea Road From The Perspective Of Cultural Route

China is the first country to discover and use tea tree,known as the motherland of tea.From the end of the 17 th century to the beginning of the 20 th century,China and Russia established a trade route with tea as a commodity--the Sino-Russo Tea Road,Yichang Black Tea Road is the trade and transportation route of the “Yichang Black Tea” in the Tea Road.This paper combines the public space of settlements along the Yichang Black Tea Road with the theory of cultural route,based on the sociocultural background and the development of black tea trade,clarifies the types,forms and characteristics of the public space of settlements along the tea road,and introduces a new perspective for the related research of cultural route.At first,based on the cognition of cultural routes and Yichang Black Tea Road,this paper summarizes the historical evolution,geographical environment and route distribution of the tea road,and explains the heritage value of Yichang Black Tea Road from five aspects,including history,art,science,society and culture,by placing the ancient tea ceremony under the perspective of cultural route.Based on the cognition of the settlements along the tea road,the types of settlements along the tea road can be divided into three types: blood related settlement,geo-related settlement and economic related settlement,and their characteristics are summarized.On this basis,through the investigation of the public space of settlements along the Yichang Black tea Road,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the typical cases of settlements public space in from four aspects: historical evolution,connection with the ancient tea ceremony,external space environment and internal space environment.In addition,through the analysis of settlement site selection,agricultural land pattern and overall form at the macro level,and street space,yard space,waterfront space and sign space at the medium level,this paper then draws the common characteristics of all spatial elements of settlements along Yichang Black Tea Road.And from the four basic characteristics of the cultural route,the paper sorts out the public space of settlements along the tea road,analyze the elements of ancient settlements public space along the tea road has definite function,abundant material space remains,the dynamic evolution of settlement material space and function,settlement public space is a cultural activity and the external expression of cultural phenomenon,the corresponding relationship between the settlement public space and the basic characteristics of the cultural route.Finally,the article explains the heritage value of the settlement public space along the Yichang Black Tea Road,and concludes that the public space of the settlements has: the historical value of witnessing the development of Yichang black tea trade and the revolutionary war;to show the artistic value of pastoral landscape,space environment and construction techniques,reflect the scientific value of settlement site selection and spatial organization,promote economic development and strengthen the social value of cultural identity;reflect the cultural value of living culture,ritual order and so on.Combined with the current situation of the public space of settlements along the tea road,this paper analyzes the reasons for its formation,puts forward three protection suggestions: overall protection,public participation and rational development and reuse.The full text expounds the basic features of settlement public space along Yichang Black Tea Road,and based on the perspective of cultural route,this paper analysis of ancient settlements public space along the tea ceremony,illuminates rich heritage value of the settlements public space along the tea road,expand new ideas for the related research of cultural route,provides a theoretical basis for the protection of traditional settlements and material remains along the Yichang Black Tea Road,too.
