Research On The Application Of BIM Technology In Engineering Cost Management

As one of the pillar industries of the national economy,the construction industry has made great contributions to the economic development of our country.With the continuous expansion of the scale of the construction industry,the increasing amount of investment and the continuous improvement of the degree of integration,the construction environment is gradually changing from labor-intensive to technology-intensive and capital-intensive,and the information data attached to the project is becoming more and more huge.It is difficult to meet the needs of the modernization construction by relying on the traditional cost management mode.Therefore,we must rely on more scientific information management technology to improve the level of cost management.The emergence of BIM technology application to the construction industry in our country and pointed out the new development trend,to whole life cycle of the project to a can share information data integration system,the optimization of data processing and transmission way and the process,to promote the various project participants communication and coordination,is of great significance to improve the level of cost management.Relevant departments vigorously promote BIM technology and promote the integrated management of the whole life cycle of construction projects.This paper focuses on exploring the application of BIM technology in cost management.First of all,based on the literature review,development status and related theories of BIM technology and cost management,a comprehensive analysis of the problems existing in the project cost management and the application advantages of BIM technology in the whole life cycle cost management.Some large-scale modern engineering projects using BIM technology for construction management are listed to provide strong support for the introduction of BIM technology.Secondly,the whole life cycle of the project is divided into investment planning stage,design stage,bidding and tendering stage,construction stage,completion stage and operation and maintenance stage,and the application value of BIM technology in each stage of cost management is systematically analyzed to solve or improve the problems existing in cost management under the traditional mode.Finally,combining with specific engineering projects,BIM technology is introduced into the cost management at all stages.Through cost-benefit comparative analysis with the cost management under the traditional mode,the economic applicability of BIM technology in the cost management is verified,and the combination of BIM technology and cost management theory and practice is realized.At the end of the paper,the research results obtained in this paper are summarized,and the application and development trend of BIM technology in my country’s construction industry are briefly analyzed.
