Research On The Environmental Renovation Design Of Old Urban Areas From The Perspective Of Landscape Urbanism ——Taking Jiujiang Xunyang District As An Example

In recent years,with urbanisation and urban expansion,new urban areas have emerged in China.In contrast,the old urban areas have a deeper historical and cultural heritage,but they also suffer from poor infrastructure,declining spatial vitality and a weakened environmental and cultural atmosphere.However,the stable development of cities often requires a good relationship between the renovation of old cities and the construction of new ones.How to optimise the environmental quality of the old city and balance the harmonious development of the ’new’ and the ’old’ is an urgent issue that needs to be addressed.The theory of landscape urbanism is based on a series of problems arising from urban development in the post-industrial era,and its emphasis on ecology and wholeness has certain positive significance in guiding the environmental transformation of old urban areas in China.This paper takes the Xunyang District of Jiujiang City as the object of study,using various methods such as literature,field research and case studies to grasp its basic situation and status quo,analyse and learn from similar successful cases,and then combine theory and practice to carry out research on the environmental transformation design of the Xunyang District of Jiujiang City.Firstly,the basic concepts and theories of old urban areas and landscape urbanism are explained,as well as the significance of applying landscape urbanism to the environmental transformation of old urban areas;secondly,an overview of the city of Jiujiang and the basic situation of Xunyang District is given,and the current environmental situation and problems of Xunyang District are analysed and summarised;secondly,on the basis of the experience of similar successful cases,the design of environmental transformation in Xunyang District from the perspective of landscape urbanism is explored.The design principles and strategies of environmental transformation in Xunyang District are explored based on the experience of similar successful cases.Finally,the combination of theory and practice,the completion of the Xunyang District Gantang Park environmental transformation design,through practice to support the theories and methods summarised in this paper,to provide a little concrete direction for the design of environmental transformation of the old city.
