| The Yangtze River Economic Belt is the demonstration zone leading high-quality and coordinated development of our country.The construction industry is the pillar industry which largely affects the speed of the regional economic development,but it consumes a lot of resources.The resource utilization efficiency of construction industry will affects the sustainable development of the entire region.This paper conducts related research on the total factor efficiency of construction industry in the Yangtze River Economic Zone from the perspective of time and space,and then analyzes the changes and distribution laws of the construction industry efficiency.Finally,the paper proposes reasonable improvement measures for the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.In order to study the time and space differences of the total factor efficiency of the construction industry in the Yangtze River Economic Zone from 2009 to 2018,the corresponding input and output indicators were drawn up by studying relevant papers.Then a specific quantitative mathematical model was established based on the Super-SBM model,through which the static difference of each province’s efficiency can be evaluated.Based on the Malmquist index,the paper discusses the characteristics of efficiency changes and the restricting reasons for the development of efficiency from a dynamic perspective.The paper uses Theil index and exploratory spatial analysis to discuss the differences in efficiency changes in each region and the spatial correlation of each province.Since there is a spatial correlation of the obtained efficiency values,the spatial panel measurement model is selected to identify the factors affecting the efficiency of the construction industry and the spatial spillover effects,and then the relevant suggestions for improvement are proposed.Through the quantitative research above,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Through the quantitative analysis of efficiency,it is found that there are many differences in the efficiency of the construction industry between the various provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.The most efficient provinces are Shanghai and Zhejiang,and the least efficient province is Yunnan and Guizhou.(2)Through time change analysis,it is found that the development can be divided into two stages: the total factor production efficiency of the construction industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt gradually slowed down and finally declined from 2009 to2015,the efficiency increased from 2015 to 2018,and the scale efficiency change was the main reason for the change of total factor efficiency.(3)Through the analysis of spatial change,it is found that each province has obvious positive spatial correlation since 2015;the spatial distribution situation of the total factor efficiency of the construction industry in each province is relatively stable,showing a two-pole agglomeration in space.(4)Through the analysis of influencing factors,it is found that the degree of industrial optimization and the degree of industrialization have a significant positive impact on the efficiency of the construction industry,and the spillover effect is obvious;the level of education has a significant negative impact on the efficiency value. |
