In recent years,with the popularization of the Internet,the information-based digital economy has made full use of the advantages of the era of big data.Through effective information sharing,the communication efficiency of both sides of the transaction has been increased,the transaction cost has been reduced,and the efficiency of energy utilization has been effectively improved.But the Yangtze River Delta region is one of the earliest regions to carry out digital economic construction.With the support of realistic endowment,it has achieved the rapid development of digital economy,and the growth rate and total volume of digital economy remain among the top in China.Therefore,it is of important reference value to study the impact of digital economy development on energy utilization efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta to accelerate the development of digital economy and improve energy utilization efficiency.In this thesis,based on the relevant theories,the digital economy development on the energy efficiency of the path of action.Then,based on the panel data of 39 prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2011 to 2020,the entropy method and the super-efficiency SBM model were used to calculate and compare the digital economy development level and total factor energy efficiency of each prefecture-level city in the Yangtze River Delta region over the past years.Then the panel regression model is constructed based on the theoretical analysis and measurement results.Finally,the empirical results are summarized and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.In the construction of panel regression model,the benchmark regression model is first used to clarify the direction and magnitude of the influence of the development level of digital economy on total factor energy efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region.Secondly,according to the dimension heterogeneity of digital economy,the effect of digital economy on total factor energy efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta region is decomposed.Then,the mediating effect model is used to analyze the mediating effect of digital economy development level on total factor energy efficiency from regional innovation and industrial structure upgrading.Finally,a threshold effect model was constructed to analyze the threshold effect of digital economy on total factor energy efficiency in the Yangtze River Delta with per capita GDP as the threshold variable.The main conclusions include:(1)The digital economy development level and total factor energy efficiency of prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta are steadily improving,but the regional differences are significant.(2)The development of digital economy in prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta region can directly promote the improvement of total factor energy efficiency,among which the construction of digital infrastructure is the key to improve energy efficiency.(3)Digital economy development can improve total factor energy efficiency by promoting regional innovation and upgrading industrial structure.(4)With the improvement of economic development level,the positive promoting effect of digital economy on total factor energy efficiency of prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta region has been significantly improved.Based on the empirical analysis results,the thesis puts forward some policy suggestions :(1)Optimize and upgrade digital infrastructure,vigorously develop digital economy,and reduce the differences in the development level of digital economy among prefecture-level cities.(2)Give full play to the advantages of digital technology and platform,cultivate regional innovation ability,and then improve the development level of digital economy and energy utilization efficiency of each region.(3)Accelerating the integration of digital technology and traditional industries,promoting the transfer of production factors to digital and other high-tech industries.(4)Further improving the economic development level of prefecture-level cities in the Yangtze River Delta region,and formulating relevant policies according to local conditions.
