Building Information Model is commonly known as BIM technology.In the last 20 years,BIM technology has been introduced and widely used in China’s construction industry under the promotion of the government.In the actual project,the model is large in volume and not easy to download for file transfer,resulting in low efficiency in the application of the model by all parties,"information islands" in engineering construction,and delays in communication and other problems.In the process of applying BIM technology,the project needs to save a large number of drawings and models,and the project participants need strong computer hardware and software support in the process of viewing the models,which causes a lot of trouble and makes the use of models inefficient,and the value of BIM technology is not fully played.Therefore,based on this background the application of building information model lightweight technology is studied.This dissertation applies Autodesk Revit software combined with BIMFACE to carry out theoretical research and development of a BIM lightweight display platform,applying intuitive fuzzy hierarchical analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of BIM lightweight technology in different stages of engineering projects,accomplishing the following in total.Firstly,the theory and application methods of building information model lightweight technology and the characteristics of BIM secondary development platform tool-BIMFACE are studied.Secondly,the principles of lightweight display of building information models are studied,including HTML5 technology,Web GL technology and Three.js 3D framework that enable models to be displayed in the browser;and technical means to improve the efficiency of lightweight display of models,including scene space octree division,merging of graph elements,and the introduction of 3D format conversion of building information models,which is used to reduce the transmission time of model files and improve rendering efficiency.Then,using BIMFACE’s model display component and Java Script code,a lightweight display platform for building information models is developed by writing HTML documents to enable BIM models to be displayed in web browsers.The Java Script code is also used to develop the model interaction function independently and to realize the secondary development of BIM lightweight technology.Finally,the role of the building information model lightweight display platform in engineering projects is analysed using IFAHP,and the effects of the platform’s application at different stages are discussed to promote the use of BIM lightweight technology in a wider range of engineering projects.Through the development and application of the lightweight display platform for building information models,the problems of functional interaction of building information models are solved,the efficiency of model display is improved,and the browsing speed and experience of users are enhanced,and the model interaction function of the platform can be used in the construction stage of projects,as well as for the display,communication and archiving of models.easier and more widely used and accepted by the public,achieving the goal of creating convenience and economic benefits.
