Prefabricated construction as the main development direction of the future of China construction industry,can effectively solve the severe pollution to the environment construction,"labor shortage" and a series of problems such as high cost,at the same time,also can satisfy people’s growing demand for construction quality of the products and personalized,realize the value of construction projects to create.However,prefabricated construction in our country is still in the stage of development,there are some problems in the process of development,the traditional management mode is still in the implementation of the prefabricated construction projects in our country mainly adopt the pattern,the pattern between the design and construction of the weakness,unable to realize effective integration of resources and reduce costs,and can’t play to the advantages of the prefabricated construction.Currently,the management mode of prefabricated buildings is mainly EPC(Engineering Procurement Construction),which can effectively integrate design,Procurement,Construction and other work deeply to achieve systematic management,improve Construction efficiency and quality,and reduce costs.With the call of policy in recent years,this model has gradually begun to be applied and promoted in China’s prefabricated buildings,but it has to admit that there are still many problems affecting its further development.Therefore,how to fully recognize the advantages of EPC mode and identify the factors influencing the combination of EPC mode and prefabricated building,and put forward effective measures for the main constraints,are the necessary premise to promote the value creation of prefabricated building projects under EPC mode.Firstly,this paper analyzes the promotion effect of EPC mode on value creation of prefabricated building projects with the help of value engineering concept.Based on value chain theory,the construction process of prefabricated building is divided into three stages: decision-making stage,design-procurement-construction stage and operation stage.Then the two modes commonly used in the current practical engineering are compared and analyzed.The results show that DBB(Design-bid-build)mode almost hinders the value creation of prefabricated building projects.DB(Design Build)mode can promote the value creation of prefabricated building projects,but the effect is not significant.Only EPC mode can give full play to the advantages of prefabricated building,and can obviously promote the value creation of prefabricated building projects.Secondly,based on the promotion effect of EPC mode on value creation of prefabricated building projects,the factors influencing the implementation of EPC mode and then value creation of construction projects are analyzed.By reviewing literature and visit experts identified the government level,market environment,the owner,general contractor,and other related main body has five main influence factors,and adopt the way of questionnaire survey to the related enterprise high-level personnel to investigate,collect data,using fuzzy qualitative comparative analysis method(fs QCA)to analyze the data,This paper discusses the complex causal influence mechanism of the configuration effect of five factors on the value creation of construction projects.This method is different from the previous linear research method which only focuses on a single factor,and opens up a new research perspective and idea for the theoretical research of prefabricated buildings.The findings:(1)There are four influence paths conducive to value creation of prefabricated building projects in EPC mode.The analysis can provide effective guidance for realizing the value creation of architectural projects more fully in practice.(2)Factors at the government level and the owner level are sufficient and unnecessary conditions affecting value creation of prefabricated building projects under EPC mode.It means that a variable in the factors at the government level and the owner level appears independently,which may realize value creation of prefabricated building projects.On the contrary,the paths and ways that affect the realization of value creation of construction projects are not limited to these two,and there are still other paths and ways to find.(3)under the condition of the construction industry have a healthy market environment,even if the government policies and regulations is not perfect,lack of conform to the requirements of the general contractor and consultants,as long as the owners enough recognition of EPC mode and have strong management ability and financial strength,can be designed to meet the qualification conditions or construction unit to provide a fair competition environment,So that it can develop into a competent general contractor and effectively promote the value creation of prefabricated building projects under EPC mode.Finally,according to the above configuration analysis results,improve the legal system of EPC mode and increase policy support;Perfecting market mechanism of prefabricated building and standardizing trading procedure;To enhance the recognition of EPC mode in prefabricated buildings and enhance the strength of owners;Four aspects of strengthening the general contractor’s attention to talent and information technology and enhancing risk management ability are proposed to effectively realize the value creation of prefabricated building projects in EPC mode.It has practical guiding significance to the development of EPC mode in prefabricated buildings in China,and provides reference for relevant enterprises to formulate the operation mechanism of promoting the development of EPC mode in prefabricated buildings.
