With the popularization of BIM technology,the problem of how to integrate BIM with practical engineering business and realize multi-participant collaborative work is becoming increasingly prominent.In order to give full play to its potential benefits,BIM application must transition from the 3D geometric model level to the collaborative level.Therefore,it is very important to explore how to promote the effective collaboration among the project participants in different project situations for giving full play to the overall application value of BIM in construction projects.This study focuses on the core issue of "improvement of BIM collaboration among the participants in the project",analyzes and excavates the key factors that affect the efficient collaboration of BIM among the participants in the project and their interaction,and discusses the effective measures to improve BIM collaboration.(1)Analyze the definition and connotation of BIM collaboration.Firstly,this paper refines the concept of collaboration from different scholars,analyzes the connotation of collaboration,and clearly defines BIM collaboration in combination with BIM construction situation,and makes a concrete analysis of BIM-based collaborative application of multi-project participants from several elements such as collaborative situation,collaborative subject,collaborative goal and collaborative behavior.(2)Establish a BIM collaborative influencing factor model.This paper sorts out the related researches on BIM collaboration mechanism,collaborative influencing factors and collaborative model in the existing literature,and extracts six key BIM collaboration factors,such as BIM technology operability,BIM platform environment governance,project team ability,cooperative relationship quality,target planning and joint action,by grounded theoretical method,and then builds a BIM collaboration influencing factor model.(3)Using fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method to systematically analyze the influence mechanism of six key elements on the degree of BIM collaboration.First,construct six collaborative variables,collect data through questionnaires,and conduct qualitative comparative analysis on the processed data.Finally,three configurations that can achieve high BIM synergy and four configurations that lead to low synergy are obtained,namely,process collaboration under technology guidance,organization coupling under technology support and organization linkage under goal guidance.(4)Based on the analysis of configuration results,specific suggestions are put forward for how to improve the behavior of the construction project team to achieve efficient collaboration based on BIM:(1)Establish and improve the implementation standards of enterprises and projects on the basis of national and industry BIM standards,so as to ensure the concept of data sharing in the whole life cycle;(2)Improve the environmental governance of BIM platform and strengthen data management;(3)Adjust relevant business processes and organizational structure under the guidance of BIM top-level planning to promote the integration of BIM technology with organizational and project processes.
