Fire engineering is related to the safety of people’s lives and property and social harmony and stability of people’s livelihood projects.With the improvement of China’s construction level,the scale,height and complexity of new buildings in China are getting higher and higher,and the importance of fire system is becoming more and more obvious.In 2019,the annual market scale of China’s fire engineering industry will reach about 170 billion yuan.At first,fire engineering was mainly monopolized in the hands of central enterprises and state-owned enterprises,but with the reduction of the entry threshold of China’s fire engineering industry,fire engineering companies have sprung up rapidly.[1]Before entering the 21st century,limited by the relevant regulations in the industry,the localization attribute of fire engineering companies is still relatively obvious,basically contracting projects in the place of enterprise registration;after entering the 21st century,with the deepening of the reform and opening up of China’s construction industry,regional barriers are gradually broken,the fire engineering market is more open,and some fast-growing companies begin to explore in the whole country However,the lack of professionals and backward management methods seriously restrict the healthy development of the fire engineering industry.With the aggravation of market competition,some forward-looking fire engineering companies begin to introduce project manager performance management into the company’s project management practice in order to attract talents,improve the company’s project management performance and enhance the company’s efficiency.ZA company is one of its representatives.However,many enterprises in the process of Project Manager performance management,due to the existence of or lack of performance management Performance management becomes a mere formality,or the leaders do not pay enough attention to it,or the process of performance management is not standardized,or the quality of project manager is defective,which eventually leads to the unsatisfactory effect of project manager performance management.In this paper,the author takes ZA company as an example,first analyzes the macro environment and industry characteristics of the fire engineering construction industry that ZA company is engaged in,then introduces the development process of ZA company and the resource reserve of project manager,and then uses the relevant theory of project manager performance management to analyze the quality of project manager,performance management tools,performance management index system of ZA company Through the research and analysis,it is concluded that the reason why the performance management effect of project manager in ZA company is not ideal is mainly due to the company leaders’neglect,the non-standard performance management process,the discount of performance management results,the defects of project manager quality and so on.Then combined with the specific situation of ZA company,it puts forward the corresponding improvement suggestions,and formulates the project manager performance management guarantee measures from the aspects of system construction,organization system construction,information system construction,result application design,etc.,in order to help Za company improve its project management performance management system and enhance its project manager performance management efficiency.At the same time,it provides reference for other fire construction companies in the industry to implement project manager performance management,so as to improve the performance management efficiency of the whole fire engineering construction industry,and play a role in promoting and ensuring the sound development of China’s fire industry.
