In addition to the "Taihang Eight Roads" which is dominated by political and military significance, there are also many ancient roads in the Taihang Mountains. These ancient roads are subject to the influence of road flatness and traffic accessibility, and are mostly manifested as "mountain trails" or "cargo pack roads".so it can only meet the transportation needs of small commercial trade, but the number of such roads in Shanxi,Hebei and Henan provinces is extremely extensive, such as Zhougongshan Ancient Road,Henan Jinyang Road,Yanya Ancient Road,Xuexingling Road, etc.Although the importance of these roads is lower than that of the "Taihang Baxing",they also play a role in connecting the trade between the two places, thus having different degrees of influence on the spatial form of settlements along the route.Zhougongshan Ancient Road is located between Jingxing and Fukouxing, connecting Xingtai,Heshun, and Xiyang for trade. It has emerged since the early Ming Dynasty and was most prosperous in the middle of Qing Dynasty.Taoshuping Village is the starting point of Zhougongshan Ancient Road. The development is closely related to the ancient road, and it is a typical village that has changed due to the ancient road.In the early stage of the development of the village,it was a traditional farming settlement with its own distinctive characteristics, and later it became a typical commercial settlement due to the influence of the ancient road economy.Taking the influence of ancient road traffic and ancient road economic factors as the breakthrough point, this thesis studies the spatial form of Taoshuping Village, aiming to explore how the development of the village will be affected by the intervention of the ancient road and the ancient road economy during the evolution of the village. At the same time, with the development of ancient roads, the spatial form of the village will show what kind of characteristics that are different from general farming settlements. This thesis mainly studies Taoshuping Village from three aspects: ancient road and village historical background, village spatial evolution and village spatial morphological characteristics.Firstly, the historical background and development context of the ancient road are studied, and the process of the rise, prosperity and decline of its commerce is summarized, which provides a basis for the subsequent historical evolution of villages. This thesis summarizes the location background and cultural background of Taoshuping Village, and extracts the "congenital conditions" for the rapid prosperity of villages with the rise of ancient roads.Secondly,it defines the main research scope of the village, analyzes the spatial evolution of the village with the clue of time, and summarizes the factors affecting the site selection and evolution of the village. Finally, the spatial morphology of villages, streets, lanes, yard groups, yard units and node space are analyzed through the influencing factors summarized above, aiming to study the spatial morphological characteristics at all levels and the formation reasons at deeper levels.Through the research on the historical evolution and spatial morphological characteristics of Taoshuping Village in the mature period,it is found that before the intervention of the ancient road, the spatial evolution of the village was influenced by factors such as terrain, clan, and cultivated land.According to the law of development, due to the intervention of the ancient road economy, the village space violated the original development path and transformed into a commercial settlement dominated by commercial factors, thus showing obvious differences in the spatial form of the settlement.
