Interpretation And Modern Translation Of The Context Of Traditional Creation ——Taking The Cultural Product Design Of Fujian Southern Dowry As An Example

In recent years,with the strategic transformation from made in China to Chinese design,China’s product design has entered a historical node that requires highlighting the confidence of our national culture and paying attention to connotative development.The development appeal with national cultural characteristics in contemporary product design is a very important path in China’s design research,so how to study the relevant product design thinking logic and methods is a problem worthy of in-depth discussion.Based on the above background,this paper aims to summarize the laws and methods of forming the context of traditional artifacts,and explore the core points of the integration of product design and national culture.Firstly,the paper expounds the research background,research content,research purpose and research significance of this topic;Secondly,with the method of case study,this paper analyzes the utensil context of traditional creation.Through the research,it is found that the utensil context can be divided into two parts: utensil historical context and regional context;Then,using the methods of Paleontology and linguistics,this paper also studies how to specifically analyze the historical and regional context of utensils,and constructs the utensil cultural context of the design practice object（dowry）of this paper.It is found that in addition to its function as a dressing box,the meaning of dowry can be deeply excavated;Finally,by studying the relationship between the dowry and southern Fujian culture and the phenomenon of "high dowry" in Southern Fujian,this paper positions the cultural attribute of the dowry in the inheritable items related to southern Fujian dowry culture.One is to find a new breakthrough on the basis of the historical development of the form of the dowry,and the other is to express the author’s reflection on the current Southern Fujian dowry culture with the design of the dowry.
