Research On Landscape Culture Of Traditional Private Gardens In Southern Fujian

With its natural geographical advantages and humanistic heritage,Southern Fujian is an important cultural intersection in the history of Fujian Province.The traditional private gardens of southern Fujian were rooted in southern Fujian,and their development was more mature from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China.The landscape creation of traditional private gardens in southern Fujian inherited the traditional Chinese landscape culture,absorbed and fused with foreign Western culture during this time span,and continued to develop its own maritime culture.In the time span of inheriting the traditional Chinese landscape culture and absorbing the western culture,the landscape creation of southern Fujian traditional private gardens has formed a unique cultural connotation and artistic style,while continuously carrying forward its own marine cultural advantages.It shows a long history and diverse landscape forms as an integral part of Chinese classical gardens.This thesis takes the traditional private garden landscape culture of southern Fujian as the entry point to purposefully sort out the historical evolution and social development background of the southern Fujian region.Based on the analysis of historical materials,field research and the results of previous research,we analyze the cultural factors of the formation of traditional private garden landscape in southern Fujian.A comprehensive and systematic study of the landscape culture of traditional private gardens in southern Fujian is conducted through this approach.In this thesis,the representation of the landscape culture of traditional private gardens in southern Fujian is mainly demonstrated through literature research,fieldwork,comparative analysis,and visits to residents.Summarizing the landscape cultural connotations reflected in the site-selected landscapes of traditional private gardens in southern Fujian based on in-depth visitation research,data review,and analysis of the links between traditional private gardens and landscape culture in southern Fujian.Analyze the aesthetic imagery and western thinking in the space of traditional private gardens in southern Fujian after incorporating western culture with the specific characteristics of space creation.Taking the multifaceted influence of marine culture on southern Fujian as a base point,it summarizes the information of marine culture characterized in the composition of traditional private gardens in southern Fujian in terms of architecture,plants,and decoration.The research shows the psychological demands of traditional private garden makers in southern Fujian,elaborates the landscape narrative of private garden culture and art,and summarizes the comprehensive performance of its gardening phenomenon and history and culture,so as to fully explore the cultural essence of traditional private garden landscape in southern Fujian.The study of landscape culture is used as an entry point to study traditional private gardens in southern Fujian,revealing the cultural factors and construction ingenuity in private gardens,with a view to improving society’s understanding of the culture of private gardens in southern Fujian and the importance of their cultural preservation and inheritance.At the same time,it is hoped that the study of this topic will provide food for thought and practical reference for future research on garden culture.
