| This topic comes from the key project of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission’s Social Science Program "Research on Design Ethics and Its Methods in the Age of Artificial Intelligence".With the rapid development of information technologies such as the Internet,5G,big data,and artificial intelligence in the field of smart transportation,various travelrelated smart products have appeared on the market.At the same time,China is facing various challenges brought about by an aging population social issues.Harmonizing technology and design ethics requires designers to propose more humanized designs for this special group to solve the digital divide problem existing in the use of smart travel products by the elderly and to help the elderly to use them smoothly when their physical and psychological functions decline.Smart travel products are particularly important.This paper takes the intelligent products used by the elderly in travel as the research object.First,through the user analysis methods of the elderly people’s travel characteristics,behavioral cognition and perceived characteristics changes,combined with relevant literature research and case analysis of existing intelligent travel products,found that the physical products and virtual products related to the travel of the elderly generally have the problems of weak intelligence,complex operation,and stacking of functions.Based on this,this paper uses the Integrated Technology Acceptance Model(UTAUT)as a theoretical guide to analyze the factors affecting the acceptance of smart travel products by the elderly and develop a factor scale.Design principles of intelligent travel products for crowds.Then taking the elderly intelligent rollator as an example,through field research,it is found that when using nonintelligent and traditional rollators,it is necessary to use external force to complete the movement by pushing,pulling,moving,lifting,etc.Pain points.Finally,the body size of the elderly is studied through the principle of ergonomics,and the corresponding reasonable product size parameters are set,and the design analysis is carried out from the perspectives of function,material,structure,color,and interactive interface.Integrating artificial intelligence,PID automatic control and other technologies,a rollator that can automatically follow the elderly to walk is designed.From the product point of view,it meets the characteristics of light weight,foldable,and portable operation.From the user’s point of view,it meets the needs of freeing hands,reducing the load,reaching the destination efficiently,saving time and effort;when storing items,it is stable,firm and safe.The design scheme of this paper not only alleviates the fear and resistance of the "technically disadvantaged" elderly groups to new things.In addition to retaining the original basic functions of the rollator,an intelligent module for automatic follow-up of the rollator and load-bearing sensing reminder is added.It improves the usefulness of the product,and reflects the humanistic care for the elderly in the context of the intelligent era,helping the elderly to obtain a more comfortable and efficient travel experience. |
