Rice is one of the three major food crops in the world and plays a vital role in food production and security;At present,the northern region of our country is faced with the problem of excessive amount of nitrogen fertilizer and shortage of water resources in rice cultivation.Rice is also a silicon-loving crop,In order to explore the effect of different nitrogen-silicon application on rice growth and development,this paper is based on dry direct seeding rice Cultivation of water-saving irrigation,To study the effects of different nitrogen and silicon application on rice growth,nutrient uptake and utilization,quality.The aim is to provide a theoretical basis for the efficient management for dry direct seeding cultivation to achieve the goal of high yield and high quality of rice.Effects of combined application of nitrogen and silicon on rice growth and development,the test results show that the best effect on rice growth and development under the same nitrogen application conditions with medium silicon,compared with the control treatment,plant height increased by 4.6% and 6.1%,the chlorophyll content increased by 17.3% and 17.8%,the photosynthetic rate increased by 10.4% and 24.7%.the rice yield reached the highest,4.7% and 4.1% respectively compared with the control treatment.Under the condition of high silicon,the yield of rice decreased.In the yield composition factor,applying silicon fertilizer can significantly increase the number of grains per ear and thousand kerner weight,and the change of seed setting rate and effective ear number is not significant.Compared with conventional transplanting,the growth aspect and yield were slightly lower but is not significant.Effects of combined application of nitrogen and silicon on nutrient uptake,utilization of rice,the test results show that application of silicon fertilizer can increase the absorption of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium and silicon in rice.Absorption effect is best under the same nitrogen application conditions with low and medium silicon.Compared with the control treatment,nitrogen uptake increased by 40.1% and 21.3%,phosphorus uptake by 32.7% and 11.6%,potassium uptake by 21.6% and 18.6%,and silicon uptake by 49.7% and 40.9%,respectively.At high silicon levels,the absorption of these elements in rice tends to decrease.The utilization rate of silicon fertilizer is the highest under the same nitrogen application conditions with medium silicon,49.7% and 41% respectively.Compared with conventional transplanting,nutrient absorption decreased,among which phosphorus and potassium were the most obvious.Effects of combined application of nitrogen and silicon on the quality of rice,the test results show that adding silicon fertilizer is beneficial to the improvement of rice quality,but the overall effect is not,it can improve quality with low nitrogen and medium silicon combination,Compared with the control treatment,the chalkiness rate decreased by about 6.6% to 8.1%,protein by 6.2% to 7.2%,amylose by 1.5% to 4.1% and fatty acid by 6.1% to 14.1%.Compared with conventional transplanting,quality is low,but there was no significant difference.Comprehensive experiment study,the effects on rice growth and development,yield,nutrient uptake and quality were most obvious under the same nitrogen application conditions with medium silicon.Considering the environmental aspects of fertilization,Nitrogen reduction and medium silicon combination(16kg N/667m2+6kg Si O2/667m2)is best under the experimental method of dry direct seeding cultivation.
