| In recent years, with the improvement of living standards and change in diet, the prevalence of hyperuricemia and/or gout has been increasing globally.Up to 4%of people suffer from gout, and 4-20%suffer from hyperuricemia.10%of patients with hyperuricemia are in the gout stage.Excessive accumulation of uric acid will not only cause acute arthritis or organ damage, but also promote oxidative stress, synthesis and secretion of pro-inflammatory factors, and lead to metabolic disorders in the body. Therefore, proper uric acid-lowering treatment is necessary.Uric acid is a degradation product of purine and is excreted through the kidneys(65-75%)and gastrointestinal tract(25-35%).At present, the main route of uric acid-lowering therapy is to reduce uric acid production and increase renal excretion, while the intestinal route is not used in uric acid-lowering therapy.Intestinal flora is an important executor of intestinal uric acid metabolism, especially lactic acid bacteria and Pseudomonas bacteria participate in the synthesis of uric acid degradation and metabolism enzymes, which can finally decompose uric acid into urea and excrete from the body.Early animal experiments have proved that the probiotic Probio-XTMcan reduce blood uric acid levels in animal models of hyperuricemia. Objective To explore the possibility of the compound probiotic probiotic Probio-XTMin the treatment of patients with mild to moderate asymptomatic hyperuricemia. Methods Selected asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients who met the diagnostic criteria and admission criteria during the period from January 1,2020 to June 1,2020 in the Physical Examination Center of Inner Mongolia Medical University were entrolled as the research subjects. After signing the informed consent form, the patients with asymptomatic hyperuricemia were randomly divided into the probiotic test group and the placebo control group at 2:1 ratio by the digital table method. Before the experiment, the baseline information of the subjects was recorded, including gender, age, body mass index, the diet intake of the subjects in recent 3 days, and the laboratory indexes(blood routine, liver and kidney function, blood lipid and fasting blood glucose). After the beginning of the experiment, the experimental group and the control group were given solid drinks containing compound probiotics and placebo respectively with the same appearance and taste.During the experiment, they were given a low purine diet, and other anti uric acid drugs and foods containing probiotics were forbidden. The observation period was 3 months, and the above data were collected again after 3 months.IBM SPSS 20.0 software was used for statistical analysis. The single sample Kolmogorov–Smirnov test of fit method was used for normal distribution, quantitative data Ported as mean±standard deviation((?)±SD).Independent sample t test was used for comparison between groups, paired t test was used for comparison the condition before and after the treatmt.enumeration data were reported as number and frequencies,andχ2 test was used for comparison of enumeration data data.Statistical analysis takes two-sided test, and the significance test level is taken asα=0.05.P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results A total of 54 patients with asymptomatic hyperuricemia were included in this study,36 in the experimental group and 18 in the control group.During the follow-up,10 cases were lost, and 44 cases completed the study, including 30 cases in the experimental group and 14cases in the control group. There were 41 males and 3 females in the study. There were 28males(93.3%)in the experimental group and 13 males(92.9%)in the control group. The average BMI was 26.01±2.34kg/m2,of which 79.55%were BMI≥24kg/m2.At baseline, there were no significant differences in gender, age,BMI,Laboratory index and dietary intake between the two groups(P>0.05).After 3 months of treatment, the levels of serum uric acid, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the baseline(the change values were-34.77±4.24μmol/L,P<0.01;-0.70±0.11 mmol/L,P=0.019;-0.44±0.14 mmol/L,P=0.035;-0.42±0.02mmol/L,P=0.012),however,there were no significant changes in serum uric acid, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein in the control group(P>0.05).There were significant differences in serum uric acid, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein between the two groups before and after treatment, the results were(-34.77±4.24μmol/L vs-12.43±4.95μmol/L,P=0.003;-0.70±0.11mmol/L vs-0.03±0.03mmol/L,P<0.001;-0.44±0.14mmol/L vs 0.10±0.08mmol/L,P=0.016;-0.42±0.02mmol/L vs-0.03±0.02mmol/L,P<0.001).Conclusion The prevalence of hyperuricemia in men was significantly higher than that in women, and with the increase of body mass index, the level of serum uric acid showed an increasing trend.Probio-XTMcontaining Lactobacillus casei Zhang,Lactobacillus bifidus V9,Lactobacillus plantarum P-8,Lactobacillus bifidus M8,Lactobacillus rhamnosus M9 can improve the level of serum uric acid in patients with hyperuricemia, and reduce the levels of serum total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein. |
