Investigation And Research On Old-Age Care Needs Of Rural Elderly In Poverty-Stricken Areas In Hebei Province

Objective:To explore the demands of the elderly and influencing factors of elderly care in poverty-stricken areas in Hebei province,to provide basis for the construction of rural elderly care service system and relevant policy formulation,and to provide reference for the development of geriatric care profession and discipline construction.Methods:In this study,we investigated the poverty-stricken areas in Hebei province by the method of questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview.The specific methods are as follows:1.Questionnaire survey method: we used a self-made questionnaire to conduct a survey on the pension needs of the rural elderly in the poverty-stricken areas of Hebei province,and used multiple linear regression equation to analyze the influencing factors of the pension needs of the research object.2.Semi-structured interview method: Interview the rural elderly who meet the inclusion criteria.By collating and analyzing the interview data,dig deeply into the needs of the rural elderly in the deeply impoverished areas of Hebei province.3.The results obtained by the above two methods are consolidated and analyzed to clarify the pension demands and influencing factors of the demands of rural elderly in the deeply impoverished areas in Hebei province.Results:1.At present,the average score of pension needs of the rural elderly in the deeply poor areas of Hebei Province(2.10±0.24),the elderly care needs of each dimension scores from high to low in turn for economic support requirements(2.22±0.38),medical care demand(2.21±0.40),and daily life care needs(2.18±0.45),being aware of demand for national policy(1.97±0.28),the spiritual and cultural demand(1.84±0.43)。2.Through multiple linear regression analysis,the influencing factors of old-age care demand of rural elderly from high to low are: Marital condition,whether attend new rural social pension insurance,whether attend commercial endowment insurance,endowment means,living condition,age,take care of ability by oneself,have/without subsistence allowance,area,disease type.(P<0.05).3.Through semi-structured interviews,the preliminary opinions of rural elderly people on their pension needs are summarized into seven themes: the promotion and implementation of rural pension policies need to be strengthened;The economic support for the elderly in rural areas needs to be improved and enhanced;We will deepen the reform of "medical confederations" and strengthen the construction of specialized medical alliances;The professional level and service consciousness of rural medical service personnel need to be improved;The service function of rural family contracted doctors needs to be improved;Rural commercial health insurance and commercial endowment insurance needs to be developed;Rural infrastructure construction for the old needs to be improved.Conclusion:1.The elderly care demand in rural areas of deep poverty in Hebei Province is at a medium level,the elderly present multi-faceted needs for elderly care.2.The pension needs of the rural elderly in the deeply impoverished areas of Hebei Province are affected by their own,family and social factors,suggesting that the construction of the rural pension service system should consider various factors to meet the pension needs of the rural elderly.3.Rural commercial health insurance and commercial endowment insurance are in urgent need of development.4.The construction of rural elderly care service system should focus on strengthening economic support for the elderly in rural areas.We will actively promote the mode of mutual assistance for the aged with the support of medical and nursing services.
