Abstract/Summary:
ObjectiveTo analyze the influencing factors of urinary incontinence in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)after receiving holmium laser enucleation of the prostate(Ho LEP).MethodsA retrospective analysis was performed in 122 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)from July 2018 to May 2020.Ho LEP is performed by the same surgeon for all patients.According to the occurrence of urinary incontinence after surgery,the patients were divided into the urinary incontinence group and the non-urinary incontinence group.The perioperative data between the two groups was compared to analyze the influencing factors for urinary incontinence after Ho LEP.Results34 cases(27.9%)had urinary incontinence 1 month after operation,all of who were stress urinary incontinence.Age,BMI,smoking and drinking history,hypertension,disease course,acute urinary retention,indwelling catheter(days),previous catheterization,IPSS,Qo L,Q max,t PSA,f/t PSA,preoperative and postoperative hemoglobin,preoperative and postoperative creatinine,preoperative and postoperative urine leukocytes,urine culture,bladder irrigation time,postoperative ureter retention time,postoperative hospitalization were not significantly related to urinary incontinence after surgery.Prostate volume,Diabetes,operation time and weight of enucleated tissue were statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).Multivariate analysis shows that prostate volume over 60ml(OR=2.817,95%CI=1.072-7.405,P=0.036)is an independent influencing factor.ConclusionProstate volume,Diabetes,operation time,and weight of enucleated tissue were related to postoperative urinary incontinence.The prostate volume over 60 ml was an independent influencing factor.
