Clinical Observation Of Shufengxuanfei Method Combined With Dextromethorphan-Chlorpheniramine-Pseudoephedrine Solution In Treating Post-Infectious Cough (Fengshengluanji Syndrome)

Objective:According to the characteristics of post-infectious cough,to explore the clinical efficacy of Shufengxuanfei method combined with dextromethorphanchlorpheniramine-pseudoephedrine solution in treating Post-infectious Cough(Fengshengluanji syndrome),in order to seek a more reasonable and effective method of treating this disease with fewer side effects,so as to improve symptoms and life’s quality.Methods:Seventy patients with post-infectious cough(Fengshengluanji syndrome)attending the respiratory clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine were collected from December 2019 to January 2021,and were divided into a test group and a control group,with 35 cases in each group,and the test group was treated with Jiawei Shufeng zhike Decoction、acupoint application combined with dextromethorphan-chlorpheniramine-pseudoephedrine solution,while the control group was treated with dextromethorphan-chlorpheniramine-pseudoephedrine solution,The cough symptom scores,Leicester Cough Questionnaire(LCQ),Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),TCM symptom score,pharyngeal itch symptom score,cough sputum symptom score,shortness of breath symptom score and induced cough symptom score were recorded before and after the treatment for 7 days.Result:(1)In this study,one subject in the experimental group refused to participate in the experiment because he was too sensitive to acupoint application drugs,so there were34 subjects in the experimental group,and a total of 69 patients completed the study.(2)There was no significant difference in age and sex distribution between the two groups(P>0.05),which could be compared clinically.(3)Overall efficacy analysis: the overall effective rate of the test group was 94.11%after treatment,and the overall effective rate of the control group was 85.71% after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant by the rank sum test: P<0.01,indicating that the efficacy of the test group in treating post-infectious cough(Fengshengluanji syndrome)was better than that of the control group.(4)Intra-group comparison after treatment: The two groups were compared after treatment in terms of cough symptom scores,LCQ,VAS,TCM symptom scores,pharyngeal itching symptom scores,coughing sputum symptom scores,shortness of breath symptom scores,and induced cough symptom scores,which were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment methods of both groups were effective.(5)Comparison between the two groups after treatment: there was statistical significance in improving cough symptom score,LCQ,VAS,TCM syndrome score,shortness of breath symptom score and induced cough symptom score between the two groups(P < 0.05),indicating that the experimental group had better curative effect;between the two groups,there was no statistical significance in improving cough and sputum symptom scores and pharyngeal itching symptom scores(P > 0.05),indicating that the efficacy of the two groups in improving the symptoms of cough and pharyngeal itch was comparable.Conclusion:The combination of Jiawei Shufeng Zhike Decoction and acupoint application with dextromethorphan-chlorpheniramine-pseudoephedrine solution can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of cough,shortness of breath and induced cough in patients with post-infection cough(Fengshengluanji syndrome),and improve the quality of life of patients,with better clinical efficacy than the control group,and has the advantage of increasing efficacy and reducing toxicity.
