Research On The Grammar Items In Selected Elementary Chinese Textbooks For Japanese

The textbooks of Teaching Chinese as the Second Language(TCSL)are the basis of Chinese teaching and learning,it plays a crucial role in the implementation of TCSL.After years of construction and development of Chinese teaching materials,now we have a large quantity of textbooks of TCSL especially the General Textbooks which compiled in English Japanese people has a long history of Chinese learning.As Japan is a country in Chinese cultural character circle,the textbooks for Japanese apparently should differ from the General ones.The paper will make a brief classification of the textbooks for Japanese,and choose four representative which are New Practical Chinese Reader Textbook:Japanese Vision、Contemporary Chinese:Japanese Vision、Fundamental Contemporary Chinese and National Chinese Language Textbook:the Heartbeat of Shanghai as the object of the study.This paper is aim to find out the advantages and disadvantages of grammar compilation in textbooks for Japanese,seek out the references and improvements by contrastive analysis.The study on grammar compilation in this thesis includes three parts:the grading and selection of grammar、the sequence of grammar、the paraphrase and example sentence of grammar:as the grading and selection of grammar,the textbooks for Japanese firstly should choose the appropriate total grammar items according to the different total hours、educational system、teaching environment and using objects;In addition,it also needs to strictly control the average grammar items per lesson,the average value ranks from 2.5 to 4.5 would be considered scientific.The ratio of four-level grammar items which present in HSK Grading Standard and Grammar Outlines should be more reasonable.The most important thing is that the Chinese Proficiency Test which organized by Japanese themselves is quite popular,so the selection of grammar items of textbooks for Japanese should take into account the standard and requirement of Chinese Proficiency Test.As the sequence of grammar items,the four selected textbooks differ in the distribution of grammar items.Combine with the study of the sequence of key sentence pattern,the sequence of grammar items in textbooks for Japanese should:(Ⅰ)disperse the difficult points;(Ⅱ)summation after description including simplify the complex points、increase recurrence rate、integrate point and sphere;(Ⅲ)diversify the recurrence forms;(Ⅳ)emphasize the consistency.As the paraphrase and example sentence of grammar,co-edited textbooks and those edited by Japanese are more inclined to apply comparative method.As the example sentence compiling,the quantity of example sentence should agrees with those of grammar items,thus,4-6 is the reasonable average value.Unlike the textbooks edited by Chinese writer,the Japanese ones have a stronger point that it pays more attention to current Chinese and Japanese elements,keep pace with current topics.There’s also a obvious weak point in textbooks edited by Japanese writers that is the excessive reliance on translation method,they should control the use of Hanyu pinyin and Japanese translation properly.
