Most students who use English as a foreign language(EFL)lack sufficient opportunities to practice their English-speaking skills.However,with the advent of Internet era and the continuous popularization of smart phones,the popularity of educational apps has increased rapidly.Various kinds of language learning apps have emerged one after another.It has broadened the learning channels for language learners.The English curriculum standards require teachers to reasonably utilize and develop existing network resources and modern educational technology in classroom teaching to improve students’ learning efficiency.In view of this,the study has carried out an action research on oral English teaching in junior middle school based on the "English fun dubbing" app,in order to explore the influence of students’ use of "English fun dubbing" app on their oral English ability under the formal learning environment in class.The main question of the research is "Using the " English fun dubbing " app to assist oral English teaching,can students improve their oral ability in pronunciation,intonation,stress and linking? "Based on L2 acquisition theory,this research takes the students of class 2 Grade 8,Zhenli Middle School as the research object.The author comprehensively uses the methods of literature research,action research and interviewing method.Through literature collection and study,this study makes a more in-depth understanding and analysis of related researches such as oral English teaching,app-supported language learning,"English fun dubbing" app and its teaching application and the relationship between app and oral English.On the basis of sorting out relevant literatures,a new classroom teaching mode of junior high school oral English is constructed by using "English fun dubbing" app.The author has determined pronunciation,intonation,stress and linking as the main evaluation contents of oral language level,referring to the corresponding evaluation indexes.Then,through three rounds of action research,the author analyzed the dubbing works submitted by the students and compared the students’ performance changes in the four dimensions of pronunciation,intonation,stress and linking.It was found that through three rounds of action,the average scores of the four dimensions in the dubbing works of the students were all improved.The results of the first and third rounds of students were paired ttest,and the p value was <0.05 in all four dimensions.The total number of likings received by students showed a gradient increase from 6 in the first round to 38 in the third round.According to statistics,the average score of students’ system performance increased by 2 points in the second round compared with the first round,and 2.1 points in the third round compared with the second round,showing a gradient increase overall.Finally,the research results are summarized and reflected,and the following conclusions are drawn:With the help of "English fun dubbing" app to assist oral English teaching,students’ oral ability has been improved in terms of pronunciation,intonation,stress and linking.And it is also found that students’ linking ability was improved the most base on the results.
