| The English teaching in primary school lies in not only the basic stage of English education,but also in the golden period.In this period,oral English teaching is particularly important.In recent years,with the development of science and technology,the teaching methods of using mobile terminal devices has gradually entered the classroom teaching.In view of this,the research tries to explore the following two questions:(1)What are the effects of using Fun Dubbing Junior App on primary school students’ oral English academic achievements?(2)What are the effects of using Fun Dubbing Junior App on primary school students’ oral English learning anxiety?Based on situated cognition theory,informal learning theory and language memetics,this research conducted an experiment in two classes of Grade 5 in Primary School in Longnan City.There are a total of 60 students in the two classes,30 in the experimental class and 30 in the control class respectively.The experimental class adopted the auxiliary teaching method of Fun Dubbing Junior App,while the control class has the same conditions as the experimental class except that Fun Dubbing Junior App is not used in the teaching.In this research,the subjects’ oral English academic achievements and oral learning anxiety were measured by tests and questionnaires,and the data were analyzed scientifically by SPSS.24.The research draws the following conclusions:(1)the application of Fun Dubbing Junior App in oral English teaching in primary schools improves students’ oral English academic achievements.(2)the application of Fun Dubbing Junior App in oral English teaching in primary schools reduces students’ oral English learning anxiety,especially in communicative comprehension anxiety.In addition,this research enlightens us to make full use of mobile learning software to reduce students’ oral English learning anxiety.At the same time,teacher should pay attention to the selection of learning materials and the frequency of using mobile learning software,so as to better improve the teaching efficiency.There are some suggestions for future research as follows.First of all,the researcher should collect more data to carry out the research of oral English teaching.Secondly,the researcher can expand the scope of the research subject.Thirdly,this research is of certain practical value to oral English teaching.Hopefully,more scholars can use different mobile learning software to carry out researches on oral English teaching,so as to promote the development of oral English teaching. |
