From the beginning of the writing to the high development of calligraphy and painting today,the art of calligraphy and painting in China has its own unique art form and artistic language.The two influence each other and promote each other in many ways.This article starts with historical phenomena and theoretical analysis,analyzes painting and calligraphy systems independently,and then explains the origin of the close relationship between the two,and puts forward the argument of "the same origin of calligraphy and painting".The second is to describe the commonness and difference between calligraphy and painting in terms of the origin,development situation,language form,mutual influence and essential difference between calligraphy and painting.The third chapter outlines the influence of Qing Dynasty stele development on traditional literati style and painting style;briefly describes Wu Changshuo’s life and his artistic process of studying Shigu essay,highlighting the important position of calligraphy in Wu Changshuo’s artistic creation.Finally,the changes of Wu Changshuo’s calligraphy and painting concepts are divided into three stages: "Dao is in the wattle","and the ancient is new" and "seeking for communication",through a large number of empirical explanations of Wu Changshuo’s "creation by painting" means.Sort out and explore the artistic principles of "the same origin of calligraphy and painting",explore the origin and development of calligraphy and painting,find out the similarities and differences,clear the "source" of calligraphy and painting,and better reveal the artistic expression,form and method of calligraphy and painting The similarities and differences have important academic value;on the other hand,they also have extremely important practical significance for sticking to the Chinese pen and ink tradition and improving contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy teaching.
