The bronze vessel is an important carrier of historical culture from the pre-Qin to the Han Dynasties. It is an indispensable basic material in the study of ancient history and culture.Since Qin and Han Dynasties, the status of bronze vesselss has been far less important than the Xia,Shang and Zhou Dynasties. The types and combinations of bronze vesselss are constantly changing, and the acceptance and use of bronze vesselss in various regions are not balanced. This article takes the different functions of bronze vesselss as the basic classification basis, and refer to the area of Sili as the research scope. The purpose is to construct the chronological sequence and regional characteristics of the development of bronze vesselss, and explore the interaction between the people who used copper ware in the Han Dynasties as reflected by the differences in the composition and distribution of their utensils. This article focuses on the following issues:First, introduce the research background of the Han Dynasty bronze vessels, sort out the brief history of previous research and related literature, point out the shortcomings in the previous research process. On this basis, explain the methods and ideas involved in this article, and define the time and space scope of the Sili area selected in this article.Secondly, deal with the related materials of the bronze vesselss in the Sili area during the Han Dynasty,Select reasonable classification standards and conduct chronological research. In order to solve the characteristics of long service time and slow change rate of copper, this article establishes the popularity of various types of bronze vesselss by setting up a bronze group and comparing it with pottery and copper coins from the tombs. After analysis, the evolution process of the bronze vessels in the Sili area during the Han Dynasties can be divided into six periods, combined with the standard device era,the first period is judged as the early Western Han Dynasty, the second period is the period of Emperor Wendi and Jingdi, the third period is the early period of Emperor Wudi, and the fourth The period is from the late Emperor Wu Dynasty to the late Western Han Dynasty, the fifth period is the Xinmang period, and the sixth period is the Eastern Han period.Thirdly,on the basis of stages, according to the distribution of utensils, draw the distribution map of bronze containers unearthed in each period of the seven counties of Sili,in order to clarify the distribution of various types of bronze containers in popular areas during the Han Dynasty. After statistics,we can see: Traditional ceremonial containers such as Ding,Francium, and Pots are mostly distributed in Jingzhaoyin,Hongnong County and other areas, while daily living containers such as washing and basins are concentrated in Luoyang area. There are two different traditions of using bronze containers in the Sanfu and Sanhe areas of the Siri area.In addition, the traditional popular time of the two utensils is also different. The copper "ritual utensils" popular in the Sanfu area has been declining until the end of the Western Han Dynasty, while the daily life bronzeware in the Sanhe area continued for a long time during the Han Dynasty.Different from the previous understanding that the style of bronze ware in the Han Dynasty was replaced by daily life bronze wares, the two traditions of utensils in the Siri region have independent spatial and temporal distributions and changes, and this change has more parallel development status. Finally,by using the "big tradition" and "little tradition" theories, different bronze traditions reflect the social identity differences of the people behind them. The traditional ritual vessels such as Ding,Ju,and Francium popular in the Sanhe area continued the shape and combination of bronze containers in the pre-Qin period. That means the inheritance of "Han System" to "Zhou System" in the upper class of society. As for the large number of unearthed containers of copper basins and copper washers in the Sanhe area,it is closely related to the living atmosphere generated by the lower-level people’s practicality.Combined with relevant literature, the traditional spatiotemporal distribution of the two types of utensils in the Sili area at different stages in the Han dynasty reflects the gradual decline of the aristocratic traditions in the social structure at that time, and the emergence of emerging wealthy businessmen and nobles.
