| Vocabulary is the most basic material of language.To improve listening,speaking,reading and writing,students should expand their vocabulary.But when Junior high school students remember English vocabulary,they spend much time,but produce very little effect;they remember less English vocabulary but forget it fast;they are impatient and bored.In recent years,China’s educational informatization has developed rapidly.With the implementation of flipped classroom,micro video teaching method has achieved better results.Micro video teaching resources with strong interactivity,convenience and efficiency are favored by many teachers and students.Therefore,in view of the problems that junior high school students are facing in learning English vocabulary,the author,based on the humanistic learning theory,learning pyramid theory and constructivism learning theory,studies the role of micro video homework in junior high school students’ English vocabulary memory,that is,whether micro video homework can increase students’ interest in learning English and improve the efficiency of students’ memory of English vocabulary.Micro video homework refers to making micro video for English homework,which is to use the English vocabulary learned and record it in the form of video.English vocabulary memory is a narrow sense of vocabulary memory,the author’s research subjects is the two classes of Grade 7,and the author uses the junior high school textbooks,so students only need to remember the vocabulary required to master in the junior high school textbooks.The author adopts the method of experiment and takes 100 students of two classes of Grade 7 in Wuxi City as the research subjects.Class 12,Grade 7 is the control class,and Class 2,Grade 7 is the experimental class.The teaching experiment lasts for 16 weeks.Before the experiment,the author compares the two classes’ attitude towards English learning and their English vocabulary scores by means of tests and questionnaires.The results of tests and questionnaires show that both the experimental class and the control class have the same attitude towards English learning and English vocabulary scores.During the experiment,the experimental class adopts the micro video homework learning mode,while the control class continues to adopt the traditional homework mode.After the experiment,100 students in the experimental class and the control class are measured in terms of vocabulary posttest,short-term memory test,long-term memory test questionnaire and interview.Then the SPSS.22.0software is used to analyze the data and draw the experimental conclusions.The following conclusions are drawn from the study:(1)Micro video homework can increase students’ interest in learning English.(2)Micro video homework can improve the efficiency of students’ memorizing English vocabulary. |
