| Creativity is a kind of ability with social or personal value and nove l and unique components according to a certain purposes and tasks.Culti vating creative talents is of great significance to the long-term developme nt of the country and the nation.As a comprehensive concept,self-control involves all aspects of a person’s life and learning.As a standard to me asure students’ learning,teenagers’ academic performance has always been the focus of attention of parents,teachers and even the whole society.Cr eativity,self-control and academic achievement are of great significance to the ultimate goal of mental health education,which is to promote studen ts’ growth and improve their personality.Youth is an vital period for self-control and creativity development,a s well as for learning knowledge in one’s life.The relationship among sel f-control,creativity and academic performance of adolescents is a topic th at both society and parents pay close attention to,and it is worthy of fur ther study.Although some researchers have tried to explain the relationshi p between self-control and creativity,the overall research is still very few and the conclusions are different.Nowadays,there is almost no research on how to improve the individual creativity indirectly by using the self-co ntrol theory to intervene the individual’s self-control ability.In addition,th e empirical research on the relationship among self-control,creativity and academic performance is still at the theoretical stage and has not yet been put into practice.Therefore,this study will focus on the relationship am ong adolescents’ self-control,creativity and academic performance,as well as the effectiveness of adolescents’ self-control group intervention.Research 1 is about the current situation of teenagers’ self-control,cr eativity and academic achievement.In Jinzhou City and Haicheng City,Liaoning Province,1,300 adolescents were selected to measure their self-con trol and creativity respectively with the method of questionnaire,"Adolesc ent Self-control Dual System Scale" and "Williams Creativity Tendency S cale" were used.Therefore,the latest interim results during the survey we re obtained,and the current situation of adolescents’ self-control,creativity and academic performance and their relationship were analyzed.Research 2 is a group counseling intervention study on self-control of sixth grade students in a primary school.In a primary school in Jinzhou city,two homogeneous ordinary classes were selected,one as the experim ental group and the other as the control group.In order to further explor e the relationship between self-control,creativity and academic performanc e,12 self-control group counseling interventions were conducted in the ex perimental group to verify the effectiveness of the designed group counsel ing program in improving the self-control of adolescents.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)The overall self-control of adolescents is at a medium level.The adolescents’ self-control ability has significant differences in demographic variables such as gender,grade,whether they are class cadres,family upb ringing,relationship with the people around them and family atmosphere.(2)The creativity of adolescents as a whole is at a medium level.Th ere are significant differences in demographic variables such as grade,cla ss cadre,family upbringing,relationship with people around them,family atmosphere and other factors.There is no significant difference in demogr aphic variables such as gender.(3)There are significant differences in some demographic variables,s uch as gender,class cadre,hometown,grade,family upbringing,relationsh ip with the surrounding people,family atmosphere and so on.(4)There is a correlation among self-control,creativity and academic achievement.Self-control impulse system has a significant negative correla tion with creativity;The control system has a significant positive correlati on with creativity.There is a significant negative correlation between selfcontrol impulse system and academic performance.The control system is significantly positive correlated with academic performance.Creativity is si gnificantly positive correlated with academic performance.(5)The level of self-control affects the performance of creativity and academic performance,while the level of creativity makes an influence on the performance of self-control and academic performance.The level of self-control has an impact on the performance of creativity.The creativity level and average academic performance of the low score group of self-co ntrol impulse system were significantly higher than those of the high and middle score group of impulse system.The creativity level and the averag e academic achievement of the low score group in the control system are significantly lower than those of the high and middle creativity score grou ps in the control system.The average impulse system of low creativity gr oup is significantly higher than that of high and middle creativity score g roup.The scores of the group control system with low creativity and the average academic performance are significantly lower than those with high creativity and intermediate scores.The average impulse system of the gr oup with high academic achievement in Chinese subject is significantly lo wer than that of the group with low academic achievement and intermedi ate score.The average value of the control system of the group with hig h academic achievement in Chinese is significantly higher than that of the group with low academic achievement and intermediate score.In all dim ensions of creativity,the average value of the middle score group of Chi nese academic achievement is higher than that of the high and low score groups.The average impulse system of the group with high mathematics academic achievement is significantly lower than that of the group with l ow academic achievement and intermediate score.The control system and the average creativity of the group with high academic achievement in ma thematics are significantly higher than those of the group with low acade mic achievement and the group with intermediate score.(6)Predictive role of self-control,creativity and academic performanc e.Self-control impulse system has significant negative predictive effect on creativity,and control system has significant positive predictive effect on creativity.Self-control impulse system has significant negative predictive e ffect on academic performance,while control system has significant positi ve predictive effect on academic performance.Creativity has significant ne gative predictive effect on self-control impulse system,while creativity hassignificant positive predictive effect on control system.Creativity has a s ignificant positive predictive effect on academic performance.(7)Group counseling intervention can improve the self-control level o f adolescents,and to a certain extent,can improve students’ creativity and academic performance.According to the results of this thesis,it is suggested that teachers s hould change their ideas in the cultivation of self-control,guide teenagers’ out-of-control behaviors reasonably,and should attach importance to the r ole of support and encouragement so as to maintain positive expectations of students.Parents should also cooperate with teachers to develop student s’ self-control,give full play to parents’ role as role models and adopt de mocratic upbringing.The cultivation of creativity should focus on the cult ivation of thinking,psychology and education.All parties should also cha nge the theory of “achievements only” and correctly view the relationship between academic achievement and creativity. |
