The principle of integrity protection in cultural heritage is one of the important principles.While protecting the cultural heritage itself,it emphasizes the protection between the internal elements related to itself.While paying attention to the heritage,it is necessary to carry out the research on the integrity protection of the material cultural heritage and the intangible cultural heritage.Therefore,the non-material culture gives the material culture a deeper meaning.The material culture can be better understood by combining with the non-material culture.In the field of cultural heritage protection,holistic protection plays an increasingly important role.Tibet’s traditional mural art has a long history.Luobulinka used to be the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.The traditional mural of each palace tells a Tibetan history,and some of the traditional murals are unique in Tibetan areas.But after the natural,architectural structure and human factors,there are various damage problems in the murals.In this paper,according to the different restoration groups and techniques in the whole restoration process,the contents and logic of the chapters are divided from the perspective of the overall protection of the materiality and immateriality in the cultural heritage.Each chapter is conceived according to the restoration process of combining people,things,arts and beliefs.It pays attention to both the material and cultural heritage of Tibetan traditional murals and the immateriality Cultural heritage.In the last part of the conclusion,combined with the contents of each chapter above,the author summarizes the viewpoint of the overall protection of Tibetan traditional mural restoration,and leads to the religious and cultural significance of the traditional mural restoration in the overall protection.The article consists of introduction,four chapters and conclusion.It mainly focuses on the overall protection of the restoration of Tibetan traditional murals.The introduction part mainly introduces the origin of the research and analyzes the significance of the topic combining with the research ideas and methods of Anthropology and ethnology.Starting from the problem awareness,this paper combs the literature in this field and related fields,mainly from the perspective of the overall protection of cultural heritage,cultural relics restoration and protection and traditionalmural restoration.Through the study of history and current situation and combined with the practice of field investigation,the research ideas and methods used in this paper are explained.Finally,the structure and main content of the chapter are summarized.The first chapter is the background investigation and current situation analysis of Tibetan traditional murals.Through literature and four field investigations,the author discusses the historical background and development status of traditional murals,and finds out the integral elements of traditional mural restoration according to the description of the phenomena in the field.From chapter two to chapter five,the whole process of the restoration of Tibetan traditional murals is described,from the waterproof restoration of the roof to the restoration of the wall diseases to the restoration of the painting layers.Finally,the religious rituals of Kaiguang are involved in the process of restoration.The end of the ceremony of "Kaiguang" in Tibetan traditional murals is the restoration of Tibetan traditional murals At the end of the whole process,the murals have the double effects of art appreciation and religious significance.Based on the above discussion,the following conclusions are preliminarily reached in this study: in the restoration of Tibetan traditional murals,according to the field investigation,they are divided into different restoration stages and groups,focusing on the local and foreign restoration techniques in the whole restoration process,as well as the related restoration groups,restoration tools,religious beliefs,etc.,and protecting the cultural heritage as a whole From the perspective of conservation research,this paper analyzes the factors related to the overall protection of Tibetan traditional mural restoration,and leads to the religious and cultural significance of traditional mural restoration in the overall protection.
