Study On Zhong Kui’s Emblazonry On Porcelains In Ming And Qing Dynasties

Since the Tang Dynasty,Zhong Kui culture has been flourishing for a long time,but it has become more and more intense.The spread of Zhong Kui’s story,the wide spread of his images,and different dynasties gave him a unique symbolic meaning.The decoration of Zhong Kui’s decoration has experienced the evolution of thousands of years.Exploring this decoration with Chinese traditional culture and artistic features has valuable enlightening significance to a lot of contemporary art.Based on the documents about Zhong Kui,this paper briefly combs the appearance,development and evolution of Zhong Kui’s ornamentation and its image.Based on the research methods of graphics and contrastive studies,it objectively presents its historical image in different periods of Song,Yuan,Ming,and Qing,as well as the development of its image on different media.The Ming and Qing Dynasties are the heyday of China’s ceramic manufacturing.This paper will focus on the classification,image evolution,artistic features,cultural implication,decorative techniques of Zhong Kui decoration on porcelain in the Ming and Qing Dynasties for comparative analysis and demonstration,to establish the evolution system of bell value decoration on porcelain in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on a large number of pictures,documents and historical and cultural background of Zhong Kui’s decoration,this paper discusses the cultural symbolic significance and artistic characteristics of Zhong Kui’s decoration.This paper breaks through the previous studies on Zhong Kui culture with the carrier of poetry,traditional Chinese painting and New Year pictures,but makes a detailed analysis of Zhong Kui’s decoration with the help of porcelain as the communication medium,and explores the deep cultural implication of Zhong Kui’s decoration by combining the development of porcelain in Ming and Qing dynasties and the history and humanities...
