| In order to meet the needs for the quantity and quality of volunteer Chinese language teachers in the world,the Volunteer Chinese Language Teacher Project has developed rapidly in recent years,aiming at selecting and training qualified ones.After the interview,the Center for Language Education and Cooperation carries on the pre-job training for volunteers to improve their post competency.Thailand,as the country with the largest number of volunteers sent by this Center,still needs a great group of volunteers every year.The reason is that demand for Chinese learning in Thailand is high but local Chinese teachers are scarce,which determines the necessity and urgency of pre-job training.Because of the sudden outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia,the online training model is adopted for the first time in the pre-job training of volunteer Chinese teachers for Thailand in 2020.The methods of literature,questionnaire,interview,and statistics are mainly adopted in this research to deeply discuss the pre-job training for volunteer Chinese teachers.In order to get the real effectiveness and development prospect of online training and provide the corresponding suggestions,the study evaluates the effectiveness of online pre-job training step by step with the four levels of Kirkpatrick evaluation model.The survey is conducted mainly through questionnaires and interviews on We Chat platform,and then SPSSAU20.0 is applied to test reliability and validity of the questionnaire and analyze data.The study consists of six parts.The first part is introduction,which mainly analyzes the background of the topic,the significance of the research,the current research situation at home and abroad,the research content,the research methods,the research ideas,and innovation points.The second part is the Kirkpatrick four-level evaluation model and its applicability,mainly introduces the relevant theories of the four-level evaluation model and analyzes the adaptability with the subject of the study.The third part is the basic situation and characteristics of online pre-job training to Chinese teachers for Thailand.It mainly sorts out the specific situation of volunteer Chinese teachers training project and online training,the main contents of the training project,and sums up the main characteristics of online training.The fourth part is the survey of the pre-job training effectiveness of Chinese teachers in Thailand.It mainly collects the ideas of the volunteers and teachers through questionnaires and interviews,and analyzes the training effectiveness in the framework of Kirkpatrick’s four-level evaluation model.The fifth part is about reflection and suggestion.It mainly analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of online training according to the evaluation results,and puts forward some suggestions for the future development of volunteer Chinese teachers pre-job training.The sixth part is the conclusion,which mainly reviews and summarizes the whole research process in addition with the limitations of the research. |
