VR Documentary Audio-visual Language Composition

With the continuous improvement and development of VR technology,the documentary has ushered in a new change both in the way and content of presentation-VR documentary.Since the birth of China’s first VR documentary "kindergarten in a mountain village" in 2015,the creation enthusiasm of all walks of life for VR documentary has intensified.VR enables the audience to "stay" at the scene of the event,with vivid audio-visual experience and brand-new interaction mode,making the audience immersed in it.But VR is a double-edged sword,which brings opportunities for the development of documentary.At the same time,the traditional audio-visual shooting methods can not fully meet the needs of VR documentary creation.This poses a new challenge to the filmmakers.The creation of VR documentary needs a new "language" to express.Therefore,this paper will focus on the elements of VR documentary audio-visual language,combined with the traditional audio-visual language,visual principles,psychology and other related theories,on the basis of the author’s specific practical experience,trying to integrate VR documentary from three aspects of visual elements,auditory elements and editing,so as to guide practice.This paper will discuss from the following aspects.The first part mainly includes the introduction and the first chapter of the origin and development of VR documentary.The introduction mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic as well as the current research status and innovation of the paper.In the first chapter,VR technology is simply summarized and sorted out.It is the development of VR technology that gives birth to the emergence of a new form of VR documentary.Therefore,VR documentary is defined by comparing the differences between VR documentary and traditional documentary.Finally,the impact of VR technology on documentaries is summarized.The second part is the presentation of visual and visual elements of VR documentary.This part is the key chapter of this paper,mainly tells the story of audio-visual language of visual elements and acoustic elements embodied in VR documentary,based on the principle of creative experience,vision and psychology related theory is put forward in view of the VR documentary audio-visual language,the composition of the elements in the visual elements,the key definition Jing Yu,dynamic "Jing Bie",the concept of "composition" convertible,and put forward motion and visual elements,the relationship between the movement of the camera movement and perspective is an important factor to change the visual elements.Then,the relationship among landscape,"landscape" and "composition" is expounded.The three are closely related.When the scene area changes,the "scene" and "composition" will also change accordingly.In the discussion of hearing elements,it mainly involves the explanation of Dolby panoramic sound technology and the three major elements of hearing,language,music and acoustics.Among them,it mainly discusses the changes of sound(language,music,acoustics)design thinking in VR environment.The third part,VR documentary audio-visual elements of the late editing.This part mainly includes three aspects: VR editing process,VR editing transition mode and VR editing principle.Firstly,the process of editing is divided into two stages:rough cutting stage and fine cutting stage.In the process of VR editing,the use of transition is essential.This part sorts out the transition methods suitable for VR environment,borrowing the traditional concept of transition.Finally,in view of various problems in the process of VR editing,in the last section of this part,the author sorts out three principles of VR editing.The fourth part,the limitations of VR documentary audio-visual presentation.It is discussed from three aspects: technology,creation method and cost.The fifth part,the creation summary and the creation reflection.In the practice part of the graduation project,the creative concept,technique and problems of "Ichima Tan Yoko" are respectively elaborated in the three stages of the early stage,middle stage and late stage.Finally,it is the summary of the full text.
