With China’s close attention and support to vocational education,the development of vocational education and the improvement of teaching quality have reached a new level.Preschool education course in secondary vocational schools has long been a vital course to meet the needs of social and economic development and educational structure adjustment.The new vocational education curriculum emphasizes the cultivation of students’ professional ability.Handicraft is a practical and interesting course in preschool majors,and the significance of handicraft in art teaching and the cultivation of students’ professional ability is becoming increasingly salient with the development of the times.In professional courses of Preschool education,the study of Handicraft plays a crucial role for kindergarten teachers to be competent for their future jobs.In kindergarten teaching,Handicraft course can exercise children’s hand muscles and promote children’s brain development.The purpose of this paper is to explore how Handicraft teachers in secondary vocational schools cultivate high-quality practical talents who can be competent for the front line of preschool education in teaching fine arts.How to cultivate students’ creative thinking ability and practical ability,so that students’ learning needs and employment needs can be met,which determines whether the teaching results of vocational education can be greatly improved in quantity and quality,and also determines the employment prospects of Preschool education graduates.Based on the field investigation of handicraft course of Preschool education course in vocational high schools in Hunchun City,classroom observation,discussion and other communication activities were successively carried out,and electronic questionnaires were distributed to students,previous teaching designs were consulted,to analyze Handicraft course curriculum and teaching resources,and to specially inspect the actual teaching activities in kindergartens.Through investigation,this paper summarizes the main problems existing in Handicraft course teaching of vocational high schools in Hunchun City,and analyzes the causes combined with the author’s research accumulation in actual teaching practice and pondering about the current teaching situation.According to the teaching practice of manual courses for preschool education majors in secondary vocational schools,this paper puts forward some reform suggestions on curriculum setting,teaching resources setting,teaching content,teaching design and quality evaluation mechanism.
