There are a large number of characters with similar semantics in Chinese,and characters with similar semantics are often difficult for Chinese learners to overcome.This thesis takes the modal adverbs “Da Gai”,“Ye Xu” and “Cha Bu Duo” indicating uncertain supposition with similar meaning as the research object,and carries on the research in terms of ontological discrimination,error analysis and teaching suggestions.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly states the purpose and significance of this topic,research object and content,research status,research methods and corpus sources and so on.The second chapter is the discrimination of modal adverbs indicating uncertain supposition.This paper mainly investigates the semantic,syntactic and sentence types of the probabilistic modal adverbs “Da Gai”,“Ye Xu” and “Cha Bu Duo”.Semantically,the similarities and differences of the three aspects are mainly analyzed from semantic features and semantic emphasis;syntactically,the similarities and differences are mainly analyzed from syntactic distribution and co-occurrence components;syntactically,the similarities and differences of the three aspects are mainly analyzed from declarative sentences and interrogative sentences.The third chapter is the biased error analysis of modal adverbs indicating uncertain supposition.This paper mainly analyzes the learning of probabilistic modal adverbs “Da Gai”,“Ye Xu” and “Cha Bu Duo” from two aspects of the types and causes of the errors.Through the analysis of the corpus collected from Beijing language and culture university HSK Dynamic Compositional Corpus,it is found that the errors of learners’ acquisition of these three modal adverbs mainly include misuse,misaddition and misorder,which are mainly caused by the generalization of target language,negative transfer of mother language knowledge,and incomplete interpretation in the textbook.The fourth chapter is the teaching suggestions of modal adverbs indicating uncertain supposition.In view of the errors made by Chinese learners in the process of using the modal adverbs “Da Gai”,“Ye Xu”and “Cha Bu Duo” indicating uncertain supposition,this thesis puts forward two teaching suggestions.First,it is essential to pay attention to contrastive language teaching.Second,it is essential to improve the interpretation in the textbook.The last part is the conclusion,which is used to summarize the contents and viewpoints of the full text.
