During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period,although the doctrine of "survival and extinction succeeding each other" was no longer the moral pursuit of the vasses,it was still the spiritual driving force for the vanquished vasses to regain their state.In the Warring States Period,the restoration movement of Zhongshan and Tian Qi had an exemplar effect on the restoration of the destroyed country.In the process of destroying the six states,Qin tried to win the hearts of the people of the six states by giving preferential treatment to the capitulating sovereigns in the east with the principle of "surviving and subjugating".However,marked by the rebellion of Xinzheng,the capital of Han,and the death of King An of Han,Qin changed its policy of destroying the states by giving preferential treatment to the subjugation of the Kings of the six states.At the beginning of the unification of Qin Dynasty,there were many alternatives in the selection of local administrative system.In order to strengthen his rule over Xindi,Qin Shihuang rejected the proposal of "running counties and states together" proposed by his courtiers,and promoted the system of prefectures and counties throughout the country.The ruling decision of Qin court,however,attracted the criticism of Confucian scholars.The conflict between feudalism and prefectures and counties caused the initial cognitive dissonance of the Qin court.In order to reduce the imbalance,the Qin Dynasty pushed"the ancient and the modern" to the opposite of the system of prefectures and counties,which also pushed the Oriental Confucian scholars to the opposite of the dynasty.The distrust of Oriental scholars led to the cognitive dissonance of "new qianshou".In order to strengthen the control of the East,then triggered the cognitive dissonance about the Qin Law.Each time of cognitive dissonance and the corresponding measures to reduce dissonance,step by step,created Qin’s tyranny.The prophecy of "the man who destroyed the Qin Dynasty" was regarded as a ploy to "weaken the Qin Dynasty" by the Oriental anti-Qin forces.But in essence,Qin’s Northern Expedition to the Huns had already been carried out before Lu Sheng presented the catalogue.The purpose of Lu Sheng’s offering the catalogue was not to "weaken Qin",but to put the kind prince Fusu on the throne and save his own life.However,the choice of successor had already been made when the First Emperor of Qin ordered Fusu to supervise the troops in the county.The interaction between "crown prince" and "general soldier" is two-way."Ancient crown prince did not general soldier",prince general soldier,also means that basically lost the chance of succeeding heir.The plot of dunes in the historical records,however,portrayed the historical event of hu hai’s legal succession as a conspiracy to tamper with the edict and kill his brother,which is quite different from the record in zhao zheng shu.Sima Qian preferred the emperor to choose Fusu as his successor.There may be three reasons for Sima Qian’s tendency:the value orientation of restraining the Qin Dynasty;Driven by the psychology of love;The writing of the Spring and Autumn History and the influence of witchcraft.In the Book of Zhao Zhengshu,there is a record that "General Zhang(Zhang)Han entered the kingdom of Yi and killed Gao",which is in conflict with the record in Records of the Historian.However,the conflict between Zhao Zhengshu and Shi Ji would be eliminated if this sentence was interpreted as "General Zhang(Zhang)was defeated by Han and his country was highly killed".The meaning of Zhang Han’s"entering Yi" means that Zhang Han returned to Xianyang after Zhao Gao killed the Second Emperor of Qin and supported the accession of King Ying to the throne,thus balancing the forces inside the Qin court.
