Interpreters are playing greater roles in international communication because of deepening economic globalization and Chinese opening-up.Therefore,many people have chosen English interpreting as their major.Interpretive theory,as the first systematic theory of interpreting,is an important theoretical foundation for interpreting practice,and it is also one of the most cited theory in interpreting studies.There are three major parts in interpretive theory,and deverbalization is the most important part in interpreting.This is a C-E interpreting practice report of a mock academic meeting "Key Success Factors of Innovation Management for Products Suitable for the senior citizen---based on Context,Cognition and Innovation".There are four parts of the report:introduction to the interpreting task,literature review,case analysis and conclusion.The third chapter,which is also the major part of this paper first analyzes difficulties encountered in the interpreting,including difficulties occurred in four-character words interpreting and problems of illogicalness,dense information,incomplete information and redundancy.Then it concludes coping methods used by the interpreter under the guidance of interpretive theory,including explanation,sentence reconstruction,sentence segmentation and omission.The last chapter is the conclusion.In this chapter,the author concluded methods that should be taken when meeting some general difficulties,and some other problems existing in the interpreting process,aiming at accumulating experiences and improving the interpreting ability.When interpreting the meeting,the interpreter learned relative knowledge and terminologies about products suitable for the senior citizen,which are beneficial for the interpreter’s work in the future.
