A Practice Report On The Mock C-E Consecutive Interpreting Of The 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference Under The Interpretive Theory

With the progress of science and technology,artificial intelligence is also developing.International conferences related to the field of artificial intelligence provide a platform for international experts and scholars from different countries to communicate frontier technology.Therefore,interpreting activities play an important role in the meeting bridge.In order to convey the message more accurately and improve the communication efficiency,appropriate interpreting strategies can be adopted.This is a practice report on the C-E consecutive interpreting.It is based on the mock interpreting practice of the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference.Under the guidance of the interpretive theory,the author discusses the problems encountered in the interpreting practice and methods including explanation,coherence,and generalization from three stages:comprehension,deverbalization and reformulation.Chapter one is about the description of the interpreting task,which includes the background information,the significance,and the interpreting process.Chapter two refers to the introduction to the interpretive theory including its definition and its application in interpreting.Chapter three is to analyze the problems the interpreter faced during the interpreting process and the corresponding strategies.Chapter four is a summary of interpreting practice,which mainly summarizes reflections and the inspiration for future study and work through this interpreting practice.
