A Report On Interpreting Practice For Business Conference In Shuangjia Company Under The Guidance Of The Interpretive Theory

As a report on English to Chinese and Chinese to English consecutive interpreting,this thesis illustrates a task conducted by the author at Heilongjiang North Shuangjia Drilling Tools Co.,Ltd(hereinafter referred to as “Shuangjia Company”)and analyzes the interpretation of the business conference under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory to discuss common difficulties of consecutive interpreting as well as coping strategies and solutions.This report consists of four chapters.Chapter one,in a general view,introduces the background of the task,characteristics of the task and the relevant literature review.Charter two is divided into three phases according to time order,presenting the whole process of the interpreting task.In chapter three,typical examples are selected for further analysis under the three perspectives of the source language understanding,the de-verbalization and interpreting expression required in the Interpretive Theory.Meanwhile,possible conclusions are drawn in the three aspects of logic understanding principle,flexible wording principle and simplification principle.Chapter four is a conclusion of the interpreting task.This task is not only an application of the interpreting theory in the interpreting practice for the author itself,but a reference for interpreters working for the business conference in the oil drilling tools field.
